Calving 2022 has officially kicked off.

Ruby our first born heifer was born Wednesday 20th July. Very premature and I didn't think she would make it. Her body temp was low and she was weak.

3 days of being in a warm office 3 feeds a day and we are loving life.

Moved to an outside pen with a heat lamp and now feeding from a bottle she is smashing goals.

Welcome to Devon sweet Ruby. She has been joined by 4 others since then so we have. commenced calving and all the madness that comes with it.

A celebration of Jim's life will take place on Thursday 10th Feb 2022 at 1pm, at The Tractor Shed 135 Ballantyne Rd Wanaka.

James Wilson Cooper “Jim” died peacefully at home on Friday the 28th of January.

Jim was born on the 2nd of April, 1940 in Southland, New Zealand. The son of Elsa McNeil and William Maxwell Cooper, brother of Christina, McNeil and Maxwell.

From Gore he went on to build a formidable family business empire in New Zealand, Australia and the USA from his beloved tropical home of Darwin.

Beloved husband of the late Jennifer Ruth Cooper “Jenny”.

Father of Robyn, Jamie, Erynne and Allison.

Father in law to Craig and Adrienne, grandfather to Christopher, Nathan, James, Jessica, Brandon, Kaila, Jack, Callum, Lachlan, Gigi, Charlize and Harrison; great grandfather of Sophie, Imogen and Tilly.

Forever pushing boundaries, his tireless energy, wisdom, intelligence and kindness will be missed by many.

The big girls were very curious about them today, I suspect they remember the feeder and the yummy milk.that once fed their tummies.
