I wanted to shed some light on a concerning issue in dog training that we should all be aware of the detrimental use of shock collars. 🐶⚡️

Using shock collars as a training tool can have severe negative effects on dogs' emotions and behavior. Numerous studies have shown that these devices can cause fear, anxiety, and aggression in dogs, leading to long-term behavioral issues. It's important for us to recognize the potential harm they can inflict on our beloved furry friends.

That's why I want to draw your attention to a petition raised by Kylie Kelly, which calls for a ban on the use of shock collars in New Zealand. 🚫🔌 By signing this petition (link below), we can contribute to the growing movement and urge Parliament to take action. The more support we gather, the greater the interest and consideration by our ministers. Let's make our voices heard and stand up against the use of these harmful devices.

You may be aware that a similar bill was past in the UK recently. New Zealand leads the way in animal welfare legislation, but sadly we are falling behind in this regard.

Love working with wee Charlie he is so responsive. Using choice and rewarding the correct choice means he learns very quickly what gets him the treats. Smart puppy!! He is a quick learner but remember that dogs that learn desirable things fast also learn undesirable behaviors fast as well

Working with this little cutie today. Floss's mum has done a brilliant job of training her despite having 2year old and 8 month old toddlers. Well done!! It can be done with just a bit of consistent daily training each day.
