It's the first day of Spring (woohoo!) and also means it is time to contribute to a deserving charity with our August donation. This month we have chosen Pound Paws Rescue, They are run by a small team of dedicated volunteers, and are totally self-funded and rely on our own fundraising efforts and donations from the public.

They take in rescues of all ages, from all types of desperate situations. This includes dogs from the community, farms, dogs surrendered to Vet clinics for euthanasia and pound dogs. Many are needing extensive veterinary treatment. They also provide assistance in the community with de-sexing, re-homing, food parcels and education.

Wagger of the week is back! She's an unofficial circus dog, has a built in black jacket and is the owner of some of the smallest legs in the squad - meet Mops!

My official name is Mops, and I also answer to Moppy, Moppylala, Mopsy and Mopserella.

I am an 8 month old corgi mixed with a few other mystery breeds! I was born in South Auckland but now call Totara Terrace home! Everyone always asks what breed I am and every day there are new suggestions! I guess you can say I am truly unique!

Some of my favourite things are wrestling, standing on 2 legs, stealing socks and pretty much all other dogs and humans, and my mortal enemy is actually a mop!

I have recently joined the Dog Squad, and my best wrestling mates are fellow puppies Milo, Wilson, Daisy and Franky. Although my legs are small, I can still keep up with the biggest of striders, and I'm never far away from a treat!
