This week the temps ramped up, which meant the swim squad did too! We welcomed border collie Patch to the gang, Cyrus the stallion popped back in on his holiday and we also farewelled our cuddly golden lab Charlie who is jet setting off to live his best beach life in Perth. We will miss you Charlie! 🐾

With the ski season coming to an end, we have been sending our winter dogs off with some final squad walk goodness! Fan favourite Mops signed off this week, and we are already looking forward to seeing her again next year 🐾

This week we celebrated Harry and Sunny’s 1st birthdays, Bradley the GR joined the squad and we farewelled Valley and the Collie Crew who are heading back home for the summer! Speaking of summer, we ended the week walking in snow! ⛄️

This week we have not 1 but 2 1st birthdays to celebrate in the squad! Sunny and Harry clocked their first year around the sun, with many many more to come! 🎉🎂🎈🐾

Another great week in doggy paradise! Busters best friend (and unofficial twin) Fred joined us for a blast, and JR Charlie #5 slid back into the squad for a sniffari!

The Charlie’s have now overtaken the Ted’s as the most popular name in the squad! 🐾

Our wagger of the week keeps rolling on, and this week we get to know another one of our lively velco vizslas! He's a handsome fellow, it's Cachorro!

I am a 6 year old Vizsla and I was born in Taupo. My sister got sent to Dunedin with a high school mate of dads, which they didn't know at the time and found out later on!

My official name is Cachorro and I also answer to 'oi doggo' . I was named Cachorro as it is the Portuguese name for a dog, and my dad thought it was funny! I'm glad I can provide some daily humour just by existing!

Some of my favourite things are swimming, eating human food, hiking, running fast and giving zero personal space to humans, especially during car rides! The fact that I love swimming SO MUCH amuses my parents as when it is raining I refuse to go outside, but show me a lake or a river and I will be the first one in there, even in minus 0 conditions!

I joined the Dog Squad this year and have been a regular ever since! I can beat pretty much anyone in a swimming race, I'm super popular and you can take me anywhere, anytime! I've even been part of a Vizsla party walk! I was born for group walks!

Spring was springing this week! 🌼 It was great to see our old mates Boh, Bunker and Roxy running with the crew again, and little Field Golden Bailey made her squad debut with her big brother Arlo ❤️🐾

Our wagger of the week this week is a little dynamo, she might be small (really small!) but she packs a big punch and is possibly the most chased dog in the squad - meet Daisy!

My official name is Daisy but I also answer to Daze and Daisy Daze. I was originally called Poppy but the neighbours have a poppy dog so my name got changed to Daisy!

I am a 1 year old Border Terrier / Jack Russell and I have 5 other brothers and sisters.

Some of my favourite things are BEING CHASED! Cheese, squeaky balls, small children, all other dogs and you guessed it, BEING CHASED!

I pretty much love everything about life, but rubbish trucks, the cat flap door and long windy roads aren't my favourite.

I joined the Dog Squad this year and haven't had time to look back! If I did, I would see 5 other dogs chasing me in circles at all times, and the only dog that has managed to run me down so far is an ex racing greyhound! I give everything 100% and will never stop running until you make me!

It was another soggy week on the ground, which meant the swim squad were in their element, the mud lovers were thriving and the puppies were doing some serious sideways drifting! We also welcomed cuddly lab Elton and Wheaton Terrier Shae to the squad 🐾

It's the first day of Spring (woohoo!) and also means it is time to contribute to a deserving charity with our August donation. This month we have chosen Pound Paws Rescue, They are run by a small team of dedicated volunteers, and are totally self-funded and rely on our own fundraising efforts and donations from the public.

They take in rescues of all ages, from all types of desperate situations. This includes dogs from the community, farms, dogs surrendered to Vet clinics for euthanasia and pound dogs. Many are needing extensive veterinary treatment. They also provide assistance in the community with de-sexing, re-homing, food parcels and education.

An absolute team of legends!
