🐾 Get to know Cami! 🐾

Meet Camila, one of our Veterinary Nurses here at the clinic! Originally from Chile 🇨🇱, Camila graduated as a veterinarian last year after working for three years as a veterinary nurse in a small animal clinic while completing her studies.

After moving to New Zealand, she gained experience working with sheep and cattle, expanding her knowledge and skills across different areas of veterinary medicine. She has now joined our team as a Veterinary Nurse and is excited to continue growing professionally while caring for pets and supporting their families 💙

Camila has a special love for cats and calves, and outside of work she enjoys playing sports and exploring new places.

So, next time you visit the clinic, make sure to say hi to Cami! She’ll be happy to meet you and your furry family members 🐶🐱💚

At Wairoa Farm Vets, we’re committed to continually investing in our team’s knowledge and skills to ensure our patients receive the best and most up-to-date anaesthesia and patient care when they come to our clinic. 💖🐾

On Saturday, we welcomed Marcia, a fantastic trainer and incredibly experienced vet nurse/technician to work alongside our vets and nurses, with a tailored training session covering important topics in emergency anaesthesia and the care of compromised patients 🩺✨

We’re proud to be continually improving our equipment and standards of care, ensuring our patients receive the attention, monitoring, and support they deserve — from the moment they arrive at our clinic through to their recovery. 🐶🐱🐑💚

🐴 What a fantastic inaugural Horse Measuring Day in Wairoa! 🐴

We were thrilled to host our very first measuring day, making use of the Vet Club’s purpose-built equestrian facility. The paddock was filled with horse floats, and it was wonderful to see all the horses so relaxed and settled throughout the experience.

This is a huge credit to our fantastic, experienced horsemen and women who know exactly how to create a calm and positive environment. ❤️

A massive thank you to Lu, Lorna, Sam and Russell, who generously volunteer their time, knowledge and expertise to make days like this happen for our community. We truly couldn’t do it without you!

The feedback has been amazing, including:

💬 “Went for a measuring today, was so good, they were awesome.”

💬 “Thanks once again for today; a solid effort from your crew. You all made it a great experience in a relaxed environment, so perfect for the first-time ponies. Well done!”

It’s fantastic to know that our horses, their owners, and everyone involved had such a positive experience.

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported our inaugural measuring day — we’re already looking forward to the next one! 🐎❤️
