🐾 Meet Beaudy 🐾

This brave boy came in for a procedure yesterday and absolutely stole everyone's heart.
While he was recovering, he had 4 nurses and a vet sitting with him and he made sure to go to each and every person for some snuggles.

Rest assured that any time your pets are in with us for a procedure, they get the VIP treatment and always have a hoard of our staff at their beck and call for treats and attention, and our staff are more than happy to oblige ❤️

💚🐾 Happy Veterinary Nurse Appreciation Day! 🐾💚

Today we’re celebrating our amazing team of vet nurses, who have all been introduced in their own way this week and recognising all the incredible things you do every single day! 🩺🐶🐱

Thank you for your compassion, dedication, patience and the endless love you show every patient that walks through our doors. From the cuddles and comfort you give to our patients, to supporting our clients, assisting with procedures and keeping everything running behind the scenes, you truly are the heart of our team. 💚

Your hard work, knowledge and kindness make such a difference, even in the moments that often go unseen. We are so grateful to have such an incredible team of nurses who go above and beyond for our patients, their families and each other.

And last but absolutely not least, meet the newest member of our nursing team Hannah!

Hannah is a recent vet nurse graduate who spent her studies doing placement with us.
Hannah is absolutely wonderful and she has picked things up so quick.
She is great with all of our patients and our clients, and is happy to jump in on any consult, surgery or procedure.
Hannah’s favourite part about nursing is looking after our poorly hospital patients, making sure they’re comfortable and warm, and encouraging them to eat. She loves seeing them leave the building feeling back to their normal selves.
Hannah’s positive energy is contagious and our patients respond so well to her.
We are so happy to have Hannah as part of our team ❤️

Meet Theresa!

Theresa came onto our team last year to cover maternity leave, and is now a permanent member of our team!
Theresa is passionate about surgeries and our intensive hospital cases, keeping a very close eye monitoring your babies while under her care.
She is fabulous at making sure our clinic is clean and ready for whatever the day throws our way!
Theresa loves all our patients, and you will quite often find her writing up her surgical notes with an animal on her lap recovering from surgery, keeping them warm and snuggled up in blankets.
Theresa, while being one of our newest staff members, has become an asset to our team and is always willing to provide top notch care, compassion and cuddles to all our furry friends 🥰

Meet Brooke!

Brooke is fresh back from maternity leave and keen to get stuck back into working!
Brooke is super passionate about her job, always willing to get stuck into any procedure and goes out of her way to make sure that all patients and clients leave the building feeling better than they did coming in.
Brooke is a jack of all trades, but loves doing consults and looking after our hospital patients.
Brooke loves talking to clients about preventative care for our furry patients, and helping owners ensure they get the best out of their visit.
Her happy place in the clinic is with the big dogs, but does love a cuddle from our sweet kitty and small doggo patients.

Meet Dannie!

Dannie calls herself the crazy cat lady because although she loves all patients that come through our door, cats have an extra special place in her heart. If your cat is in for any kind of procedure, Dannie always takes extra time out of her day to give cuddles and pats to our feline patients.
Dannie is passionate about advocating for our patients, especially when they are unable to speak for themselves.
Dannie loves being part of our surgical team, and loves getting involved with complex cases.
Dannie works hard and always ensures our surgical team is running smoothly and that all your pets are warm and comfy during their recovery.

Meet our Practice Manager/Nurse Amy

Amy is not only our clinic Practice Manager, but also a dedicated veterinary nurse who has been part of the veterinary industry for the past six years. With a genuine passion for both the profession and the people and pets within it, she absolutely loves being part of a team that helps patients thrive while supporting the people who care for them.

While her nursing these days tends to involve a little less anaesthesia and a lot more cuddles, consults and keeping a watchful eye over everything happening in the clinic, Amy’s clinical background remains a huge part of her role. She understands the challenges that come with working in a busy veterinary environment and is passionate about making sure the team feels supported, valued and able to do their best work.

Meet Riley!

Riley is our longest standing nurse!
Riley is passionate about surgery and ensuring that your pet gets through anaesthetic as safe as possible, and is an advocate for ensuring that your pet is as comfortable, warm and loved on while they’re in our care.
She also has a passion for emergency and critical care, so if there is ever a time where we have an emergency, Riley will be the first person to jump in and start working on your pet.
She also has a keen interest in birds, and anytime we get a bird handed in, she is the one we call on first to give it a good check over.
If you’re ever looking for her, she will be in surgery taking care of our anaesthetised patients, or sitting in a cage with a dog, or have a cat on her lap while they are recovering from their procedure.
She is dedicated to ensuring your pet is well taken care of while they’re here ❤️

Meet Chanelle, our head nurse!

Chanelle is one of our longest standing nurses and is passionate about creating a clinic environment where your pets feel loved, cared for and actually want to be.
She loves being involved in consultations and getting to know both you and your pet.
She has implemented what we call “happy visits” within our clinic, which are consultations with her to get to know your dogs and putting in effort to gain their trust and help them realise that the vet clinic is not always going to be a scary place, and has gained quite a bit of success with the dogs she’s been working with.
During any work day, you will find her cuddling your cats and dogs to ease their anxiety, in the lab performing diagnostics or in a vet consult loving on your pets ❤️

🐾💚 Veterinary Nurse Awareness Week 💚🐾

This week, we’re celebrating our incredible veterinary nurses who are such an important part of our veterinary team.

We are very lucky to have a team of 6 wonderful nurses that you will see around the clinic, Chanelle, Brooke, Riley, Theresa, Dannie, Hannah and of course our amazing practice manager Amy who is also a qualified vet nurse ❤️ This week we will reintroduce our nurses that have been here a while, as well as introduce the ones that you may not have seen quite as much!

From comforting nervous patients and caring for them during recovery, to assisting with anaesthesia, monitoring vital signs, supporting our vets, educating clients and so much more! Veterinary nurses do it all! 🩺🐶🐱

Their knowledge, compassion, dedication and tireless care make a huge difference to the lives of animals and their families every single day.

So this Veterinary Nurse Awareness Week, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to our amazing veterinary nurses. Your hard work often happens behind the scenes, but it never goes unnoticed. 💚
