❤️ Bear & Houdini have now been adopted ❤️

--

Bear and Houdini are brothers and best friends who have grown up together and truly are the perfect duo. These two have different personalities, but complement each other beautifully.

Bear is the loving one. He’s a sweet, affectionate boy who loves being close and is very happy to curl up on your lap for some quality cuddle time. He’s the softer, more relaxed of the two and would happily spend his day getting attention from his favourite people.

Houdini, on the other hand, is playful, confident and endlessly curious. He’s always ready to investigate what’s going on, find something interesting to play with and generally keep himself busy. He brings plenty of personality and fun wherever he goes.

Together, they really do complete each other. Bear brings the cuddles, Houdini brings the adventure, and having each other means they always have a companion to play with, explore with and curl up beside.

We’re looking for a home where these two can stay together. They have a special bond and would make a wonderful pair for someone wanting two cats.

Bear & Houdini have been desexed, microchipped, are up to date on vaccinations and flea & worm treatment, and are vet checked.

Cindy is a lovely little girl with a happy, friendly personality. She’s pretty easy to win over and is happy to meet new people.

She loves to play, explore and have a good zoom around, so there’s never a dull moment with Cindy. She’s also very comfortable around dogs and has a wonderful “go with the flow” attitude to whatever is happening around her.

And when playtime is over, Cindy is more than happy to settle in for some cuddles. She’s a real cuddle lover and enjoys being close to her people, making her a lovely mix of playful and affectionate.

Cindy would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a kitten who can keep up with the fun, but is just as happy to curl up with you afterwards.

Cindy is desexed, microchipped, vet checked, and up to date on vaccinations and flea & worm treatment.

Meatball is a happy-go-lucky guy who is always down for a cuddle and loves a bit of attention. He’s easy-going and not bothered by much.

During his photoshoot, Meatball was actually more interested in being petted with the toy than playing with it, which probably tells you everything you need to know about this cuddly boy!

If you think Meatball might be the one for you, get in touch with us to arrange a time to meet him.

Maddie and Esther are two beautiful sisters who have been together since day one, and we'd love to see them find a home where they can stay that way. While they're very different personalities, they complement each other perfectly.

Esther is the quieter soul. Gentle and unassuming, she's happiest being near you, following you from room to room and weaving between your legs as you go about your day. She has a lovely calming presence and asks for very little, other than to be included.

Maddie, on the other hand, loves with enthusiasm. She's a chatty girl, a devoted lap cat, and never misses an opportunity to tell you how pleased she is to see you. She isn't shy about asking for cuddles or attention.

Together they strike the perfect balance. They love to play and can really move when they're chasing a toy or each other around the house. If you've got the odd mouse looking to move in, these girls will likely have something to say about that too.

Maddie and Esther have grown up side by side, and their bond is a special one. They're looking for a home that will welcome them both, where Esther can quietly shadow her people and Maddie can fill the house with conversation, cuddles, and love.

Maddie & Esther have been desexed, microchipped, are up to date on vaccinations and flea & worm treatment, and are vet checked.

Can we find a happy ending for Nico?

Over 10 years ago, Nico was adopted from us. He went home with his family, grew up loved, and had the life every cat deserves. Now, after losing his beloved owner, Nico has found himself back where his story first began.

The last month has been incredibly hard for him. Nico came back into our care alongside his sister, but sadly the stress of such a huge change was too much for her and she passed away. Through all of this, Nico has amazed us with just how much love and trust he still has to give.

He is such a special boy. Friendly, gentle, and surprisingly cheerful despite everything he has been through, Nico still has plenty of pep in his step. He enjoys company, appreciates attention, and has a lovely way of making you feel like an old friend.

Now we’re hoping we can write the next chapter of Nico’s story. He’s looking for a quiet home where he can be cherished and enjoy the comfort and companionship he deserves.

❤️ Lola has been adopted ❤️

----

Lola is, quite simply, a lovely cat.

She's friendly, affectionate, and has a wonderfully balanced personality. Happy to spend time with her people without being demanding, she's chatty but not loud. She's the sort of cat who seems to know exactly when to ask for attention and when to just be by your side.

Lola really is an all-round excellent cat. She's easy to love, easy to live with, and we think she'll make someone incredibly happy.

One thing Lola is very clear about, though, is that she'd rather not share her home with other cats. She enjoys being the centre of attention and would be happiest as the only feline in the household, where she can have all the love for herself.

If you're looking for one genuinely wonderful companion, Lola might just be your perfect match.

Lola has been desexed, microchipped, is up to date on vaccinations and flea & worm treatment, and is vet checked.

❤️❤️❤️ Update!

We are absolutely astounded by the generosity shown by our community, and have incredibly reached our fundraising goal in less than 24 hours.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who donated, shared Jack’s story, and helped us cover the cost of his surgery. We (and Jack Sparrow!) cannot thank you enough.

Jack is still recovering, we will be sure to share updates on his progress!

Jack came to us through our current trapping programme, and sadly some of his siblings and cousins from the same project are also coming into our care needing veterinary treatment. If you would still like to support the work we do and help cats like Jack, donations are always appreciated.

Thank you again for getting behind Jack. We are so truly lucky to have such a supportive community.

❤️❤️❤️

We are asking for your help!

We recently took in Jack Sparrow, a sweet boy who came into our care with an eye that was causing him significant problems. Unfortunately, the damage was too severe and his eye could not be saved. Removing it was the best option for his comfort, as leaving it would have meant a lifetime of pain and ongoing issues.

Jack has now had his surgery and is recovering at the vet, but the bill has come to just over $2,000.

We have included a photo of Jack from today, when the decision was made to remove his eye. It is difficult to look at, but we wanted to show why he needed our help.

As a small, volunteer-run rescue, unexpected vet bills like this have a big impact on our ability to help the next animal that needs us. We didn’t hesitate to get Jack the treatment he needed, but now we are asking our community for help covering some or all of his surgery costs so we can continue providing urgent care to cats in need.

Even a $1 donation helps towards continuing our work in the community.

Thank you for taking the time to read Jack’s story, and we hope you can help.

Another huge thank you to Nature’s Flame for their generous donation of another pallet of wood pellets!

Wood pellets make an incredible kitty litter. They’re hygienic, help keep odours down, are easy to use, and we highly recommend them as a clean and cost-effective option for cat owners.

A big thank you as well to Mainfreight for their amazing service, as always, and for delivering the pellets to us free of charge. We really appreciate your support!

We’re so lucky to have businesses like these backing what we do. Thank you both for helping us continue to care for the animals in our community!
