Next up, Nurse Carolise! 🐾

Carolise joined us as a student nurse last year and we’ve had the absolute pleasure of watching her grow into the caring and capable vet nurse she is today.

Now fully qualified and part of our team, we couldn’t be prouder of how far she has come. We’re so lucky to have you, Carolise! 💕

Next up, we have Nurse Gemma!

Gemma has been part of the 3 Stone team for just over a year and brings 9 years of vet nursing experience with her.

She loves being able to care for animals when they need us most but also supporting their owners through what can sometimes be a stressful time. The best part is seeing a patient go from unwell or scared to happy, healthy and back home with their family ❤️

We’re so lucky to have you as part of our team Gemma!

Today we’re celebrating our wonderful Nurse Amanda!

Amanda has been part of the 3 Stone Vets family for around 5 years now!

Her favourite part of the job is simple, the animals. She loves being part of their journey and helping them feel safe, happy and calm. Whether they’re in for surgery, a puppy visit or anything in between.

Thanks for all you do, Amanda! 🐾💙

It’s Vet Nurse Appreciation Week!

And this week, we’re celebrating the incredible nurses who keep our clinic running and our patients cared for.

Vet nurses do A LOT.

They draw blood, take X-rays, run lab work, place IV catheters, administer medications, assist in surgery and monitor anaesthesia.

In human medicine, many of these skills are spread across different roles. In vet medicine, they can all be part of one nurse’s day.

But it’s not just the medical stuff.

Our nurses give the cuddles, calm the nervous patients, hold frightened paws and somehow convince a very unimpressed cat that they really don’t need to bite us.

They clean up the blood, vomit, wee and poo. They sit beside patients as they wake up from anaesthesia so they never feel alone.
They celebrate the wins, comfort worried owners and advocate for the patients who can’t tell us what’s wrong.

And sometimes, they experience the heartbreak too.

Vet nursing can be messy, exhausting, challenging and emotional but it is also incredibly rewarding too

So to our amazing 3 Stone Vets nurses and to vet nurses everywhere:

Thank you. Thank you for everything you do, every single day, for the animals in your care.

We appreciate you more than you know

🐾 First health checks… and already stealing hearts! 💕

These little bundles of personality popped into the clinic for their very first puppy health checks — and they certainly kept us smiling! 🐶🐶

Our nose-to-tail vet checks allows us to check all the important parts-bright eyes, little ears, tiny teeth and growing bodies, a first vet visit is an important step towards a happy, healthy life.

One pup was clearly ready for their close-up…and already knows how to work the camera! Another was exhausted from all the vet nurse cuddles

We love meeting puppies at the start of their journey and helping them get off to the very best start. ❤️

All puppies and kittens that Complete their Vaccination Course get a FREE Bravecto Flea Treatment- 3 months of protection

Welcome to 3 Stone Vets, little ones! 🐾
