Precious Paws Te Awamutu is excited to announce that we are growing and so are on the hunt for a new team member to help lead the packs!

This is an intermediate to experienced role, Monday to Friday. Hours of work will be between our operating hours of 7:00am to 5:30pm.

Your day to day will be working with the team to help manage the packs and upkeep the areas to ensure safety and fun for our pals!

We are looking for someone who is mature, has a bubbly personality, who can take the initiative and think on your feet! Along with a love for everything dogs, you must have an understanding of basic dog behaviour and health, have experience with breeds of all sizes, be able to identify potential issues/hazards before they arise, and have knowledge on how to maintain a peaceful pack environment. Previous experience working in a similar role would be advantageous.

The position can be physically demanding, so the ideal candidates will be physically fit and not afraid to get their hands dirty and put in the hard yards!

A willingness to learn, be a great team player as well as confidently work on your own with a drive to succeed is highly valued! Being able to positively work in a fast-paced environment and must have a love for working with both people and animals.

A clean Full driver’s license is a must and you must be willing to undergo reference and police checks.

My oh my! We have some exciting goodies hitting our shelves!

We’re so lucky to have the addition of Possyum and an awesome range of treats from Bocce’s Bakery joining our collection of retail items. The fan favourite K9 Chews have also made a return!
