Please join us in welcoming (back) Vet Anna Mackenzie !🐾

Anna will be joining our Mount clinic later this month as our lovely vet Dana heads off on maternity leave. A little about Anna... A Massey University graduate, Anna has spent the past 10 years in companion animal veterinary practice, including time with Tauranga Vets and working in the United Kingdom before returning home to the Bay of Plenty. Many of our wonderful clients may already recognise her from her time at our Mount clinic while vet Aisling was also on maternity leave.

Anna has a special interest in small animal medicine, emergency and critical care, geriatric medicine, and diagnostics. She is also Fear Free Certified and passionate about making vet visits as calm and stress-free as possible!

Outside of the clinic, Anna is a proud Arataki local who loves running, hiking, and spending time with her two whippets and rescue cat, Mango! 🐾🐱

Please join us in congratulating our wonderful veterinarian Helaina on her recent graduation! 🎓🐾

We are proud to celebrate this exciting milestone with her. Always welcoming with a smile, she brings kindness, and genuine care to both our team and the animals she looks after each day. We feel incredibly lucky to have Helaina as part of our team and can’t wait to see all the amazing things she will continue to achieve in her veterinary career. Congratulations, Helaina, your future is very bright, and we are thrilled to be part of your journey! 💙

Squish was found on the side of the road as a stray kitten, with serious injuries to his face and jaw. He was brought into our Katikati clinic, where the team quickly got to work assessing and stabilising him.

After further checks and care at our Tauranga clinic, Squish underwent surgery to repair his jaw.

Fast forward a few weeks, and Squish is doing so well! His jaw has healed and his confidence is back!

From a tough start to a strong recovery - exactly the outcome we were hoping for! 🐱

Bodie, a 12-week-old Lab Sharpei cross, came into our Tauranga clinic after getting a fishhook stuck in his lip - a scary moment for such a young pup!

To keep things calm and stress-free, Vet Dr Kate Millar sedated Bodie and used a local anaesthetic during the procedure. The barbed end of the hook was carefully removed first, allowing it to be backed out with minimal damage.

Bodie recovered quickly and was soon back to his happy self - ready for treats and heading home.
