🐾Busy weekend of boarding dogs.

Some very well behaved dogs who were all still fast asleep at 6am this morning when it was time get up and get walking before the rain rolled in.

First up were the pinscher/foxy siblings Jethro, Gino, Harley and Natalie.

Followed by brothers Baxter and Wilson and then JJ

Finishing with Long stay dog Ruby and Mini and Molly.

All happy pooches which is what we love to see❤️

Introducing Pickles🐶🐾

Pickles is a 6 month old pug x foxy who is looking for her forever family.

This cheeky little girl is currently being fostered with us on behalf of Livvy’s pals rescue and has been learning the ropes of interacting with other dogs.

Pickles is currently being introduced to farm animals, is crate trained, has basic recall is toilet trained and is learning the basics but needs to find a committed human who is willing to put in the work and train Pickles to be a part of their family.

Pickles is not suitable for a home with cats as she likes to chase them and would need an active family or person to finish off pickles education.
She is puppy and can still be nippy so would not be suitable for a home with small children.

If you think you might be the right fit for Pickles please get in touch with us to start the vetting process.

🐾Please note pickles will go with a desexing contract to an approved home only and an adoption fee to Livvy’s pals rescue will apply.

It’s been another great week at the Dog Box Retreat.
It’s always a good week when it’s filled with dogs. Here’s a few snapshots of our week

It’s been a full on two months of learning the ropes at the Dog Box Retreat since taking over the business from Anna.
I realised I haven’t properly introduced myself or the new staff we have on board.

I’m Liz the new owner of the Dog Box. I’m a huge dog lover and have been from a very young age. I have seven dogs of my own, ranging from 3 to 19 years old, and there’s generally the odd foster dog in tow as well. My journey with The Dog Box started working for Anna before I went on to take over and run the hydrotherapy side of the business.

I feel very privileged to be able to work with dogs and do something I genuinely love, and to work alongside our awesome team caring for all the dogs that come through our doors.

My amazing mum, Clare, is also a huge part of keeping everything running smoothly and has been more than happy to roll her sleeves up and get stuck into pretty much everything that comes with running a dog business.

Most of you would already know Julia and Halie.

🐾 Julia is our amazing head groomer and continues to turn out some beautiful grooms while also working alongside Hazel as she develops her grooming skills.

🐾 Halie does a bit of everything around The Dog Box and is always happy to get stuck in wherever she’s needed.

🐾 Introducing our newest staff member, Stacey, who is a qualified groomer and will be grooming solo on Mondays as well as working Thursdays, offering some extra grooming availability and cover for Julia.

🐾 Hazel is our trainee groomer and daycare attendant and has been working hard alongside Julia developing her grooming skills.

🐾 Hollie, our new daycare attendant, does a great job looking after all of our daycare dogs.

🐾 And last but definitely not least, Addison, my amazing niece, who gives up her weekends to take very good care of all of our boarding dogs.

Kicking off Friday night with a group PJ photo while waiting for their bedtime treats.

Saturday morning was spent exploring the dog park.

Sundays adventure was a sunny farm outing. There were plenty of new smells to investigate, and Ceedee thoroughly enjoyed watching Odi, the crazy Vizsla, in his element! 🐾☀️

Julia, our head groomer, has been doing an amazing job, and over the past few weeks she’s been working closely with Hazel, our trainee groomer. It’s been fantastic watching Hazel’s skills and confidence grow, and together they’re producing some beautiful grooms.
