💔 DEVASTATING, HEARTBREAKING NEWS TO SHARE 💔
I honestly don’t know how to put this into words.
One of my beautiful, selfless, kindhearted and incredibly dog-loving fosters, Clare, passed away unexpectedly in hospital yesterday.
Clare went into hospital thinking she had the flu, expecting to be back home with her dogs in a day or two. Nobody could have imagined that she wouldn’t be coming home. 💔
Clare was one of those truly special people who would do absolutely anything for her dogs. She loved them fiercely and gave so much of herself to the animals in her care.
She was also part of The Muttley Crew, a wonderful group of dog lovers who regularly get together to walk their dogs around the dog-friendly spots of Rotorua. My heart goes out to all of them and to everyone who knew and loved Clare.
Most of all, my thoughts are with Clare’s two-legged and four-legged family. ❤️
Her beautiful dogs, Max and Tilly, have suddenly lost their mum. They won’t understand where she has gone and they will be grieving in their own way. 💔🐾
And then there is Spud.
Spud was being fostered by Clare and he has now suddenly found himself with nowhere to go.
🚨🚨 SUPER URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED FOR SPUD! 🚨🚨
Spud needs a foster home RIGHT NOW.
Our gorgeous 11 year old senior boy is currently in Rotorua and because of the sudden and heartbreaking loss of his foster mum, he urgently needs somewhere safe and loving to go.
Spud is such a cool dude. 🥰
At 11, he is well past the chaos stage and is quite happy being a lazy senior gentleman. He loves a good walk each day, then he’s more than happy to come home, put his paws up and enjoy the easy life.
He doesn’t need anything fancy. He just needs a safe place, a warm bed and someone kind enough to open their home to him while we work out his next steps. ❤️
This is genuinely urgent. We need somewhere for Spud today.
If you can foster Spud, please reach out to Livvy’s Pals ASAP.
🙏 Please share this far and wide.
Somewhere out there is a home with room for this lovely old boy.
And for Clare… thank you for giving Spud a safe and loving home when he needed one. I’m so incredibly sorry that he won’t get to to see your smiling face again. 💔
Run free, Clare. You were one of the good ones. 🐾❤️
Rest easy. Your dogs and Spud will be loved and looked after. 💙💜🩷🧡💛💚
