🩵🐾 MY 2027 PET-SITTING CALENDAR IS NOW OPEN!🐾🩵

Bookings for 2027 are officially OPEN!

As mentioned in my previous announcement, I’ll be taking on fewer pet-sitting bookings throughout 2027 so I can finally make time for a few things on my bucket list. Because of this, I have blocked out selected dates across certain months when I’ll be taking some well-earned time off.

I have kept the school holidays available, along with additional availability during the months I know are usually the busiest for bookings.

Please book as far in advance as possible—especially for school holidays, long weekends and peak periods—so you don’t miss out on your preferred dates. Once my available dates are filled, I may not be able to accommodate additional bookings.

Thank you all so much for your continued love, support and understanding. I’m looking forward to another wonderful year caring for your precious fur babies! 🐶🐱

🩵 A little update for 2027🐾

After almost 11 years of consistently working full-time as your pet sitter, I’ve decided to take a small step back from how many pet sitting bookings I take on throughout 2027.

I absolutely love what I do and I’m so grateful for the trust so many families have placed in me over the years. But after arranging so much of my own life around pet sitting bookings, I’ve realised I’d like to make a little more room for my own plans too.

There are places I want to visit, bucket list things I want to do and memories I want to make — without always feeling guilty that I’m letting someone down by saying no.

So next year, I’ll be limiting how many pet sits I take on each month.

✨ My regular pet sitting clients will absolutely still be looked after throughout the year.

For the time being, I generally won’t be taking on new pet sitting clients, unless it’s an absolute emergency or exceptional circumstance and I have availability.

📅 When my 2027 calendar is uploaded, you’ll also notice that there will be dates blocked out each month. These are days I’m keeping aside for personal time, bucket list plans or simply a little recharge time, so I won’t be taking pet sitting bookings over those dates.

This will make it nice and clear for everyone planning ahead, as you’ll always be able to see which dates I’m unavailable.

🐾 This does NOT affect dog walking.

My dog walking services and regular pack walks are completely separate from my pet sitting bookings and will continue as normal throughout 2027.

This isn’t me going anywhere or loving my job any less — it’s simply about creating a little more balance after almost 11 wonderful years of caring for everyone else’s babies. 🥹🩵

Peaches is a beautiful natured girl, she is loving, she is active and thoroughly enjoys being with her humans, but now she needs those humans to connect with her so that she can continue to live a beautiful life as she deserves after everything she has been through 🥹

Peaches was found abandoned pregnant in a bush in Te Puke. After caring for 8 beautiful pups, all adopted, now this sweet little girl is looking for her furever home.
She is four years old, an Australian Cattle Dog x Border Collie.
She is super sweet, active and wonderful company. Once she knows you and trusts you, she really, truly loves you.
She loves her walks, playing, rolling in the grass and simply being around her people.
Peaches needs an active home where she will be walked twice a day, mentally engaged and included in everyday life. She could also love having a doggy friend, ideally a playful, confident male with plenty of beans to run around and play with. She will get him tired for sure!
She also needs to stay around Papamoa or the surrounding area so we can continue supporting her and her new family with her life skills and anything that may come up as she settles in.

Everyone who truly knows Peaches absolutely adores her. She just needs the right person to get the chance to know her

Took Odin & Nala out to Woof's On Oliver's today for an outing and fun adventure out 🐾🩵.

Safe to say they had the absolute best time having the freedom to be doggies and to play and run around without the stress of the scary world around them (aka other doggies)

It’s always such a joy to watch my clients dogs be able to be themselves and stress free in a space that was designed with them in mind

Thanks to Woofs on Oliver’s for the amazing space our doggies get to experience

🐾THE HAPPY PAWSS CREW — CANCELLATION POLICIES🐾

As The Happy Pawss Crew continues to grow, I want to make sure my cancellation policies are clear, easy to find and fair for everyone. 💙

When a booking is made, that time is reserved specifically for you and your fur kid. Particularly with pet sitting, this can also mean turning away other bookings for those dates.

Please have a read through the updated policies below and feel free to save this post for future reference. 🐾

🏡PET SITTING CANCELLATION POLICY

💙More than 15 days' notice
Cancellations made more than 15 days before the scheduled start date will not incur any cancellation fee.

💙Less than 10 days' notice
Cancellations made with less than 10 days' notice before the scheduled start date will incur a cancellation charge of 50% of the total booking cost.

💙Within 7 days
Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled start date will incur a cancellation charge of 100% of the total booking cost.

🐕 DOG WALKING CANCELLATION POLICY

💙 A minimum of 3 DAYS' NOTICE is required for any cancellation or change to a scheduled dog walk.

💙 Cancellations made with LESS THAN 24 HOURS' NOTICE will be charged at the full walk rate.

🌧️ WEATHER & SAFETY

The safety and wellbeing of your dogs will always come first.

If I need to cancel or make changes to a scheduled dog walk due to extreme weather, unsafe conditions or another genuine safety concern, this will be communicated with you as soon as possible.

Where appropriate and availability allows, an alternative arrangement may be offered.

🐾 WHY HAVE A CANCELLATION POLICY?

As a small business, every booking represents time that has been specifically reserved for your pet. Late cancellations can leave spaces that I'm unable to refill, particularly with pet sitting bookings where dates may have been reserved weeks or months in advance.

I completely understand that sometimes life happens and circumstances can change unexpectedly. Communication is always appreciated, and I will always approach genuine situations with understanding wherever possible. 💙

Thank you for respecting my time, my business and the spaces I reserve especially for your fur kids.

And as always, thank you for continuing to trust me with your four-legged family members. 🐾💙

🐾💙 WEDNESDAY CREW — WE’RE BACK! 💙🐾

And just like yesterday, it was SO good to have the Wednesday crew back together after a few weeks off! 🥹🐶

It was another wholesome morning filled with happy faces, wagging tails, adventures and the absolute joy of being reunited with some of my favourite fur kids. 🌿☀️💙

But… it wouldn’t be the Wednesday crew without a little bit of chaos thrown into the mix! 😂

The excitement of being back together was apparently just TOO MUCH, and we had two very eager crew members manage to get themselves into a little situation that required a full-on rescue mission to come and help retrieve them! 🚨🐕😂

Thankfully, everyone was safely recovered and the adventure continued — because honestly, what’s a Happy Pawss Crew outing without at least a little chaos? 🤣🐾

I’ve missed these faces more than I can say… although I must admit, one day I’d quite enjoy an adventure walk that was actually stress-free from start to finish. 🤣🤣 Apparently, that’s just not the Wednesday crew’s brand! 😂🐾

Seeing them all back together again was the perfect reminder of why I love what I do. 💙

🐾💙 THE TUESDAY CREW IS BACK! 💙🐾

After a few weeks off, it was SO good to have the Tuesday pack walk crew back together again! 🥹🐶

And what a first day back it was — absolutely fantastic from start to finish! We had the most wholesome morning being reunited with some of my favourite fur kids, soaking up the sunshine, getting those happy zoomies out and doing what we do best… adventuring together! 🌿☀️🐾

There’s honestly something so special about seeing these faces again after a little break. They all slipped straight back into their pack routine like no time had passed. 💙

Feeling very grateful to be back out there doing what I love, surrounded by happy tails, wagging bums and the best crew around. 🐕✨
