What a lovely autumn it has been! Seen around the Gardens on the volunteers' workday last Thursday .... that ginkgo again, workers at work, fungi (it's their time to shine!), new menwork by the Lemonwood Walk/Azalea carpark, a hellebore about to come out - one of a group. Such a lot going on!

Music in the Gardens 2025 - beautiful day, beautiful music - the Taupo Youth Band, combined Concert and Brass bands, Bliss - songs from Jo and Steve Paull, Taupo String Orchestra, and two bagpipers.
Added colour from Kids Greening Taupo, Community Gardens, plant sale, sausage sizzle.
Lots of colour, fun and great music.

Happy new year! We volunteers are back on deck cleaing away wind debris. Have you seen the snake in our Gardens? The name of this unusual beauty is Noodle and the idea is to bring a painted stone and add it to the long, snakey line on the Link Track. How many stones are there so far? Latest count - 690. These beauties are on view in the Gardens at the moment - Lilium gigantium, an unidentified native orchid, the sputnik-like flower of Knightia excelsa (rewarewa) and the dogwood on Hyde Ave - Cornus kousa chinensis.
