Screenshots of a video but we had a great session last week! We started out with just moving feet and asking to back out of my space, and step when I step which Lilith took to really well, tied her up and let her think for a bit, groomed her well, and did some stretching the neck to get treats, and finally was going some jumping around her/lay over work and found she was relaxed and not phased by anything I did.
(Idiot proofing for the win!)

Whilst sat atop Lilith for all of about 3 minutes, i asked her to step forward using leg pressure, and backing it up with a touch/tickle of the whip, and rewarded every few steps she took with a treat from my pocket and tons of praise. We had one back up that wasn't asked for, so forward was asked again, she did so and treat/praise was given 😊

Very happy with our short onboard session as I readjust to wobbly baby steps!

Wee Lilith had a dental visit today from the fantastic Rebecca from Taupo Veterinary Centre ! Thank you so much for being so great with the wee fidget while she was going into sedation, and doing such a fantastic job!

Lilith only needed a small amount of tooth floated, and we decided to remove her wolf teeth today while she was under ☺️

So funny to watch her while under sedation and tutuu with her mouth and poke her tongue back in behind her teeth as she stood d***y 😂❤️

Shout out to Southridge Equine for the cute hay bag, and comfy adorable socks! Both wee Lilith and i are pretty happy! 🥰...

Back to basics after doing some looking at posts about the Kaimaniwa wild ponies and how the trainers have gotten to where they are now.

I won't lie, I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing. Having such a young filly is a new thing for me. But dialing RIGHT back to just.. being in her space.. and letting her approach me and be in my bubble with me quietly feels like a good start.. rather than pushing and pushing to get her haltered.. and tied.. and brushed..

I'm back in the panic mode of rushing. Despite telling myself and everyone I'm in no rush. She's a baby. But yet.. I'm still rushing in the most silly ways...

So back to well before square one. Becoming a safe happy space for the wee princess ❤️

And a very warm pony in 300gm of Canter for Cancer rugs cause it's a lot colder here in Taupo than Tauranga where she came from!

We are keeping sessions within reason for Lilith, as her wee brain can tire and get distracted very easily.

Joys of also being super busy at work means my days are very long but time with her is short so it works in some ways 😅

Excusing the cover rub on her shoulder from before I put her satin bib on, all Lilith gets is constant grass, hay most days, X3 scoop of chaff, X2 scoop of Prydes EasiFeed NZ Easi-Conditon, a bloop of oil, scoop of Healthy Horses Inside Out, and a scoop of Fixine daily.
I am actually happy with how she is looking, and need to keep in mind she is going through an ugly duckling stage right now 🙃❤️

We have been very quiet as of late, due to being busy with work, ongoing private life things and just allowing time to relax and soak up getting to know Lilith.

This was a sweet wee snippet of today, just relaxing together and having her get use to me being on ba****ck and just... Being 😊

As always I am so happy with her quiet nature and relaxed attitude towards things I do with her ❤️

Finally time to kick this page off I think!

It has been a long time coming.. but.

After the loss of Storm in October 2023,
I am VERY excited to welcome 3yr old Princess Lilly (aka Lilith) to our family ❤️

A very sweet, spicy and smart wee filly, whom I am breaking in myself, with the intention of her being Amelias future pony. Standing at 14hh currently, she is taking everything in stride well and is not fazed by anything or anyone at this stage 😊

I am very excited to see where things go with this girl!
