Dragon’s progress 🐉❤️

Genuinely so proud of how far Dragon has come! When we first started, he was struggling with reactivity and had a bite history, with very little structure in place.

Over the past few months, he’s made amazing progress with his behaviour, off-lead recall and impulse control. He’s still a work in progress, but the only way from here is forward! 💪

A huge part of Dragon’s success goes to his owners for their consistency, commitment and effort. 👏🐾 🇳🇿

Every dog I work with leaves a mark on me, and Dragon is no exception.

A few months ago, he came to me with a fear-based bite history. Even simple walks felt overwhelming for both him and his owners. Today, seeing him calmly walking through Bunnings on a loose leash is something we’re all proud of.

This transformation belongs to his dedicated owners, whose consistency, patience, and hard work made it possible. Dragon has come a long way, and while we’re still a work in progress, the future is looking brighter with every step forward. ❤️🐾 🇳🇿

Every dog is different, and every owner comes with unique challenges. My goal is to understand the root cause of the behaviour and help create a better life for both dogs and their owners.

Dog training isn’t about perfection—it’s about guidance, understanding, and meeting a dog’s needs during their short time with us.

Thank you to all my clients for trusting me with your dogs. 🐾❤️ 🇳🇿

Engagement is the foundation of all dog training. If your dog is engaged with you, they look to you for guidance and direction. Without engagement, dogs start making their own decisions, which can lead to unwanted behaviours. Build the relationship first—the training follows naturally. 🇳🇿

Harnesses were originally designed for working dogs to pull sleds and loads. While harnesses have their place, they can sometimes encourage pulling if a dog hasn’t been taught clear walking fundamentals first. Dogs thrive when they understand guidance, boundaries, and communication from their handler. Building a strong relationship and teaching loose-lead walking from the start helps create a calmer, more enjoyable experience for both dog and owner.” 🐾 🇳🇿
