Good run from the old boy over 1000m yesterday for 3rd at Trentham. Was so close to going to Te Rapa today, but with rain predicted, slips happening in the gorge in the past weeks and the fact that the meeting was called off last year, opted for Trentham instead. Finally pulled the right rein. Te Rapa abandoned again.

No race for Chajaba at his beloved New Plymouth Raceway this weekend, but we still visited Sleepy Valley ( Smart Road)
and did abit of hill work in old Toby Theclerkhorse paddock, Not quite the work out of past consistent jumper Tangata Hori
whom Estelle Egan trained from the same property in the 80's

Chajaba & I got absolutely satched this morning, lucky he likes the rain, I think he deserves Sound Impacts rug when we won the Koral back in 1995

The old boy did us proud today first up for the season on his favourite track, makes it 8 wins now, 6 at New Plymouth Raceway. Big thanks to Rosie Buchanan , Vanessa, Rena , Laine Cameron and Dale for keeping him happy and tip top shape, very much appreciated 🏇❤️Also big thanks to Glennys Hayward for pre-training him after I had shoulder surgery and couldn't ride for a couple of months

It is with great sadness we say good bye to one of our former owners,
Dan Rahiti passed earlier in the week,
We trained Tara Toa for Dan,
Penny as she was known came to the stable having had a wind op, but this didn't faze her and she won on debut back in the Winter of 2016, she always tried her heart out and loved a wet track.
Dan was a character who loved his horses 🏇❤️
