🐴🐶🖤 WHAT A WEEKEND! 🖤🐶🐴
Well, that's another busy weekend done and dusted, and I think I need a weekend to recover from my weekend! 😂
🐴 FIRST UP — SPIDER!
Spider and I had lessons on both Saturday and Sunday morning, and it was great to get out and spend some time working on ourselves.
I've said recently that it's time to start stepping things up a little with Spider, and having lessons is all part of that.
There's plenty for both of us to learn, and I'm looking forward to putting what we're learning into practice over the coming weeks.
We're still taking our time, but we're certainly not standing still! 🐴🤍
🐶 THEN THERE WERE THE DOGS!
After Saturday's lesson, I headed into Palmy for a quick catch-up with Mum, and we've decided to do a 10-week obedience course with the dogs!
So naturally, that meant getting some training done with Evie and Mia.
Evie worked on her heel and down stay, while little Mia got to have a go at some agility work.
And honestly, the energy that little Mini Foxy has is something else! 🤣😂
She's such a little pocket rocket, but she absolutely loves having something to do.
And of course, both dogs got another turn at training this evening too! 🐶
No rest for them either! 😂
I'm really looking forward to seeing what we can achieve with both dogs over the next 10 weeks.
📦 AND THEN CAME A FIRST FOR LEGG'S EQUESTRIAN! 🖤
After Sunday's lesson with Spider, it was off to Tangimoana for the Rangitikei Area Distance Riders' Start of the Season CTR & Fun Ride.
This was my very first little outing with a selection of products from Legg's Equestrian! 😍
Nothing fancy, just the ute, a table and some stock, but you've got to start somewhere!
It was great to finally get out there with some products, meet people and start putting Legg's Equestrian out into the equestrian community.
A huge thank you again to Aimee and the RADRs team for allowing me to come along.
And an even bigger THANK YOU to everyone who came over for a look today, stopped for a chat or purchased something! 🥰🖤

I really appreciate every single one of you. Whether you made a purchase, had a look or simply stopped to say hello, your support means so much!
For a little business that's still finding its feet, today was a pretty exciting milestone. 🖤

Between the horses, dogs, full-time work and Legg's Equestrian, there's definitely never a dull moment around here! 😂

🐴🐶🖤 GOOD MORNING! ANOTHER BUSY WEEKEND AT LEGG'S EQUESTRIAN! 🖤🐶🐴
Well, yesterday was another busy day, and today isn't looking much quieter! 😂
Yesterday morning started with a lesson with Spider, before I headed into Palmy for a quick catch-up with Mum.
While catching up, we've decided we're going to do a 10-week dog obedience course! 🐶
I'll be taking Evie, my Heading Dog, who I actually bought for hunting. Unfortunately, she's only been out on a few hunts, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to get her doing something different.
And of course, little Mia, my Mini Foxy, will be joining us too! 😂
I actually think Mia could be really good at agility, if I can somehow contain all that energy! 🤣
So naturally, yesterday afternoon both dogs got put to work!
🐶 First up was Evie!
We worked on teaching her to heel. She's usually pretty good with this, as she used to come running with me, but unfortunately encounters with off-lead dogs in an on-lead area ruined that for Evie, Mia and myself.
We also worked on the down stay, which was a HUGE achievement for Evie because she's naturally quite a weak dog.
I was really pleased with how she went! 🖤
🐶 Then it was Mia's turn!
Oh my goodness, the energy in this little pocket rocket is absolutely insane! 🤣😂
She absolutely loved being back doing some training, and even though she was completely pooped by the end of it (all of about five minutes! 😂), she picked things up right where we'd left off quite a while ago.
Now I need to start looking at more things for Mia to work on, because that little brain definitely needs keeping busy!
🐴 NOW ONTO TODAY!
I've woken up to rain this morning! 🌧️
Not exactly ideal, but luckily my lesson with Spider is in an indoor arena, so at least we won't be getting soaked during that!
Unfortunately, the rain isn't quite so ideal for Legg's Equestrian's first little outing with products today at the RADRs ride in Tangimoana.
But that's all part of the fun of getting out there, meeting new people and starting to grow this little business! 🖤
I'm still really excited, rain or shine! 📦🐴
And hopefully, when the next RADRs ride comes around in November, Mum and I will be there with horses rather than just products! 😍🐴
For now, it's time to get moving. Spider has a lesson to attend, and then I've got a ute full of products ready to take to Tangimoana!

Well, that's everything labelled, packed and loaded, ready for tomorrow! 📦🚙
Tomorrow is going to be a busy one! 😂
First up is a lesson with Spider in the morning, and then it's off to the Rangitikei Area Distance Riders' Start of the Season CTR & Fun Ride in Tangimoana! 🐴
But I was being smart today and decided to get the ute packed and ready for the RADRs ride tomorrow, rather than leaving everything until the morning! 😂
A huge thank you to Aimee and the team for allowing me to come along with a selection of products from Legg's Equestrian. I really appreciate the opportunity! 🖤
And another massive thank you to the amazing people who have already secured their products for collection tomorrow! 🥰
It honestly means so much to have your support, especially as I'm only just starting to get Legg's Equestrian out and about at events.
This will be my very first little outing with some of my stock, and I'm so excited! 😍
It might only be a small setup to start with, but everyone has to start somewhere, and I'm looking forward to seeing where this little business takes me!

🐴🤍 A BUSY WEEKEND AHEAD FOR SPIDER & I! 🤍🐴
This weekend Spider and I are heading off for lessons on both Saturday and Sunday morning! 🐴
After deciding it was time to step things up a little with Spider's workload, this is a great opportunity for us both to get some guidance and have a few things to work on.
I've been taking my time with Spider, and while I'm still not in any rush, I do think it's time to start asking a little more of him and giving that brain something to think about! 😂
Two mornings of lessons should give us plenty to work on over the coming weeks.
I'm looking forward to seeing what we can achieve, and hopefully Spider remembers to keep all four feet on the ground! 🤦‍♀️😂
