I often feel like a lot of you feel when you go to work every morning and dogs are left behind for the entire day. Smoke and Rico stay at home and every morning when I put them in their runs I have a feeling of guilt and sadness. That’s why my weekends are so precious to me, I can spend two entire days with all my dogs. This post is me saying publicly that unfortunately I do not look after dogs privately after hours or on weekends. I support and recommend all our local kennels. Please do not ask me to look after you dog privately as refusal may offend. Rico had his spring de shedding on Saturday and Oh my goodness!!!! The coat that came out!!!! He looks beautiful now though🥰🥰

I had such a wonderful week at work last week in my new shop. A couple of questions people asked were
why do I not have toys or furniture in the play area? When I first started little angels many years ago I had it all, toys, jungle gyms, ramps. It got dangerous very very quickly. Some dogs became extremely aggressive and protective with the toys and there were fights. The furniture was used by the males as the private urinal and quickly everything started to deteriorate and smell. The dogs at little angels now are encouraged to engage in interactive play with each other and it works. No resource guarding, fighting or bad smells. I have a designated area with chairs, beds and baskets where dogs go when they want time out or a snooze and seperate areas for the big and small dogs to play. At 11.00 am every morning the daycare lights go out for an hour so dogs can calm down and relax before the afternoon play begins again.

A seriously annoying blue bird is being missed in reception. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 until I was settled I had decided to keep him out back with me but as sooooo many people are asking for him he will make his debut return on Monday😩😩😩😩 there goes my peace when I’m on the ph or taking out dogs🤣🤣🤣🤣 for those of you that don’t know Mojo he’s been a regular feature at little angels for 9 years and he talks. When I mean talk he imitates me but most annoying is when he repeats himself a million times and then copies my laugh. He has a mentos addiction as well as an uber addiction. Whenever my lunch was delivered he would  squawk until I gave him a treat or share whatever I had ordered. He can actually say about 100 different words.

So many of you are worried about Zoomie and her chair🤣🤣🤣 fear not it was one of my first priorities lol I’ve brought it over and positioned it by the window. She found it straight away😊 the other question is about the cones. I think the picture explains it perfectly. The first thing male dogs do when they come into daycare regardless if they are toilet trained or not is to go around and smell and mark. The cones stop marking on walls, water buckets and beds. Every night of course they get cleaned and put back out for the nxt day

Re my previous post…………… I had always imagined my fairy god mother to be firstly a women, in a tutu, carrying a magic wand with wings. Mine however appeared as Roddy, six foot four tall, obviously male and extremely grumpy most of the time. I don’t blame him at all, putting up with me and my craziness is worthy of Sainthood🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 but this is who was sent, I love him and can’t believe how hard he worked to make little angels perfect for me and all the dogs it’s a dream come true 🥰🥰🥰

So many emotions this morning. Happy, excited, anxious and sad as I look at my old building across the road that looked after me from 2007 - 2026
Firstly I have to express my heartfelt gratitude and love to Roddy my partner. You worked around the clock to get me set up on time this morning. Thank you so much❤️❤️ Cole thank you. I know yesterday was hard for you, really hard but I’m so so grateful for all your hard work and effort for me.
To my best buddy and right hand man Zac mum loves you so much. Thank you for your help, thank you for putting up with mum and all her craziness over the past few weeks.
And lastly thank you to all my clients and furry friends for choosing me, I will continue to love and look after your dogs for a long time to come❤️❤️

Little Angels is open tomorrow, I’m not quite firing on all cylinders but I’m going to give it my best shot. Please excuse the mess , removal of signs and pictures at the shop over the nxt few days but moving is well underway🥳🥳🥳 fingers crossed I’ll be in across the road late next week🤞🤞I’ll keep you all posted😊 I was scrolling on Facebook while I’ve been sick and came across this adorable photo!! His name is Rex and I assumed he was a bearded collie. After contacting the lady who took the photo she told me that Rex’s mum is a foxy and dad an apricot poodle!!!!!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Anyway this photo has been taken by Kathryn who owns Best mates photography in Taranaki and she’s entering the pic into the Red Bands calendar competition. I totally think Rex should win!!!!!!!!
