The busy days are officially back. We are rapidly nearing absolute capacity for the remainder of 2026.

Since Shana left, I have absorbed her clients back onto my schedule. Additionally, three grooming salons in Rotorua have recently closed, meaning a massive influx of local owners are actively hunting for appointments.

Because I want to look out for my loyal regulars, this is your final shout-out to secure your dates before the books close completely.

🙏 DO NOT ASSUME YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY BOOKED IN.
Legally, I cannot automatically rebook appointments without your explicit consent. With over a thousand dogs on the books, managing your schedule is your responsibility.
We have made this as seamless as possible for you. Please use our convenient online booking app to check your current schedule and lock in your remaining appointments for the rest of the year.

▶️ Our Attendance Policy:
Because we work strictly in allocated time slots and cannot recover lost time, late arrivals, late cancellations (within 48 hours), or no-shows will now be charged the full amount of the groom. Please arrive on time.

🥺🥹😭 We’d like to let our lovely clients know that Sharna’s final day with us will be this Thursday, 23rd April.
We truly appreciate the care, love, and dedication she has given to all of our Sparkles dogs, and we wish her all the very best in her new and exciting adventure.
💥IMPORTANT📢
If you currently have an appointment after the 23rd of April with Sharna, we kindly ask that you please log into our online booking system and update your appointment to Wendy as soon as possible, as our booking structure will be changing moving forward.

For larger dogs, our colleague at Shaggy to Snazzy, who works within the same building, is happy to take on some of Sharna’s clients.
🐾 Please note that Sharna will no longer appear as a selectable groomer in the online booking system.
As we transition, we will be prioritising our regular clients on a 6–8 weekly grooming schedule, as this allows us to maintain the highest standard of care and consistency for your dogs.
Our focus will be on maintaining a calm, safe, and manageable grooming environment, and availability for certain specialised grooming services may be limited at this time.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support and look forward to continuing to care for your dogs.

Did you know the Poodle is one of the most versatile breeds in grooming? With its unique coat, it can be styled in an incredible variety of ways, there are over a hundred recognised trims, from traditional patterns to modern pet styles.
The Poodle comes in three recognised sizes
Toy, Miniature, and Standard
All sharing the same intelligence and structure, just scaled differently.
They appear in a wide range of colours
Black, white, apricot, red, brown, silver, and more
Some Poodle colours may lighten with age or develop from genetically diluted shades.
Originally bred as water retrievers
Poodles worked alongside hunters, retrieving game from lakes and rivers
Their dense, curly coat helped protect them in cold water.

Huge congratulations to Michelle for completing her course at Sparkles Dog Grooming through Groomwise Academy!
A massive thank you to our wonderful clients who generously allowed Michelle to use their dogs as models. Your support provided her with invaluable hands-on experience.
Most of our students make a huge sacrifice to travel from all over the country to study here, with 99% coming from out of town to learn from one of the nation’s top educators. Throughout her training, I was right there by her side to provide guidance and ensure the best care for your pups.
We are so proud of her hard work and know you will all join us in celebrating her achievement!
