All Creatures Great and Small!
This was definitely how our veterinary team felt last week – from 2kg Chihuahua’s that need a quick scale and polish, to 40kg Rottie’s in for desexing, we see it all!
Sadly our lovely rottweiler didn’t fit in the handy sling, but our veterinary nurses made sure to hang out with her until she was completely recovered from her anaesthesia.
Meanwhile, our lovely dental patient Pepper, got extra TLC from Dr Julija who took the time to steal some cuddles while she misses her own Chihuahua at home in Ireland. We’re not even sure that Pepper set a paw in a recovery kennel, preferring the company and comfort of the Vetora staff 🥰

All of our patients are VIPs to us, but not every patient returns for surgery having grown up at the clinic!
We had Shrewsbury in this week after she was diagnosed with a pyometra – a potentially life threatening infection of the uterus.
Pyometras are more common in older female dogs that have had multiple heats or seasons, but at just a year old, poor Shrewsbury had only recently had her first heat – what awful luck!
Fortunately for Shrewsbury, Dr Julija was able to surgically remove her infected uterus intact and once she’d woken up (and had something to eat) she was feeling much better.
We loved seeing Shrewsbury back at the clinic, but we hope next time it’s just for cuddles and treats 🥰

We've had this beautiful little boy brought in yesterday. He's male, not yet desexed and doesn't have a microchip.
He was found on the Tauranga Direct Road close to Jackson Road. He's very friendly so we think he has a loving home out there somewhere, he's also quite distinctive with a cleft lip.
Please contact the clinic on 07 348 2152 or message us if you can help him get home!
