Following on from the very successful trip to the National Pipe Band Championships in Inglewood last weekend, the StAC Pipe Band now looks ahead to its next challenge – this time on the global stage, as we venture to Scotland in August to compete at the 2026 World Pipe Band Championships – the 7th time in the history of the Pipe Band that we have attended this prestigious event.

We are excited to partner once again with Astrolabe wines to bring you an opportunity to support this year’s Worlds campaign and enjoy some amazing wine from one of New Zealand’s leading wine producers with our Pipe Band wine fundraiser. Astrolabe have given us access to a limited number of cases of 2026 Sauvignon Blanc and 2026 Pinot Gris. The wine is available in cases of 6 bottles, and this time each bottle featuring a special edition Worlds label commemorating the Pipe Band’s trip to Scotland.

Priced at just $99 per case, it’s an absolute bargain for wine that normally retails at $28 per bottle – giving you savings of $69 per case…at that rate you might as well get two cases! **Timing, Trust and Manners Course - Rangiora** (2 Spaces Avail)

I have 2 spaces available in my Timing, Trust, and Manners Course, which is due to start on Wednesday, the 19th of November. If anyone is interested, please message me 🙂

Class information is as follows:
# Venue K9 Campus 459, Fernside Rd
# Time 6.30pm to 7.30pm
# Cost $160.00 for the 4-week course
# During this course, we focus on timing by using "mark words", building trust and respect between dog and handler, the "collar" command, as well as the "go to" and "see you" commands when around other people and dogs.
# Suitable for social dogs of all ages and training levels

# Focus in class is on the 4 basics of "sit", "stay", "walking on lead properly", and "coming back when called" with a socialisation (playtime) at the end of class.

I have just had a space become available in my Intermediate Dog Obedience Course which is due to start this coming Tuesday the 25th of March if anyone is interested 🙂

Class information:

# Location indoors K9 Campus, 459 Fernside Rd, Rangiora
# Time Tuesday 25th March 7.45pm to 8.45pm
# Cost $120.00 for the 4 week course
# Focus in class is on, out of sight stays, drop-on recall, walking your dog off lead, step-overs, directional sending, etc
# Socialisation (playtime) at the end of class
# It would be beneficial to have completed a Beginners Course first unless your dog is able to "stay" in a line with another 5 dogs while you walk away a 7 metre distance.
