Today, we would like to pay tribute to the former owner of Queenstown Best for Pets, Kay.

Kay has recently finished her journey with the business here in Queenstown, where she dedicated so much of her time and love to fostering numerous dogs and helping them find their forever homes. Her compassion and commitment have changed the lives of so many animals and the families who welcomed them.

Now, Kay has taken her passion even further and is in Thailand, where she is helping rescue dogs and cats through Lanta Animal Welfare. Her dedication to animal rescue is truly inspiring, and we admire her immensely.

Kay is a wonderful person, both inside and out, and we are incredibly proud of everything she has achieved and continues to do for animals in need.

If you would like to support the dogs and cats who are still waiting for their chance at a better life, please consider making a donation using the link below.

Thank you, Kay, for your kindness, hard work, and endless compassion. You are doing a fantastic job, and we are so proud of you! ❤️🐾

Donate to Animal Welfare, a monthly gift from YOU is the only hope for the many dogs and cats on Koh Lanta. Lanta Animal Welfare receives no government funding.

If your freezer is looking a little sad or your dog is staring at you like you’ve betrayed them… this is your sign 😂

We’re packing up all the tasty goodness today and there’s still time to sneak your order in 🙌

It’s Wednesday — have you ordered yet? 👀

Today we want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing customers ❤️

Because of your orders through Queenstown Best for Pets, we were able to donate chicken and beef broth to Vadas Angel Rescue Tauranga to help sweet Duncan on his recovery journey.

Duncan has sadly suffered terrible neglect, and every little bit of support helps him heal and regain strength. Knowing that our small business — together with our wonderful customers — can make a difference to dogs like Duncan means the world to us.

When you shop with us, you’re not only supporting a local business, you’re also helping us give back to animals in need 🐾

Thank you for being part of this with us ❤️

💜 Duncan Update 💜

We are so happy to say that after 5 days on IV fluids Duncan is now completely hydrated internally 🥹🙌

Although externally his little body still shows signs of dehydration, that will come right with time and proper nutrition. The biggest win is that all of his tests are coming back great and his kidneys are working exactly like they should be 💜
Whoop whoop 🙌

Duncan has also gained 500 grams already, which is absolutely perfect with careful refeeding 🥰

We are starting to see little sparks of his personality coming through now and honestly… it is the cutest thing ever. My personal favourite part is watching his ears slowly start standing up more each day 😭💜

He still isn’t the biggest fan of drinking water on his own though, so we were wondering where everyone buys their bone broth from? Sadly we just don’t have the time to make our own at the moment, but would love recommendations for good ones dogs love 🐾

🔥 10KM RUN? EASY WORK FOR THIS GIRL! 🔥

This morning my girl smashed out a huge 10km run and still had energy to burn afterwards 🐕💨💪
Why? Because REAL FOOD fuels REAL DOGS.

Today’s raw feast looked like this 👇
🥩 Beef chunks
🐑 Lamb tripe bites
🦆 Duck nibbles
🐇 Rabbit
❤️ Heart & tripe
🦘 Wallaby bites

PLUS a boost of Doggo Daily Immunity Boost and coconut oil from Olive’s Kitchen ✨🥥

Healthy gut. Strong muscles. Glossy coat. Happy dog.
THIS is what species-appropriate feeding looks like 🙌

🚨 GOOD NEWS PET PARENTS! 🚨
These awesome products will SOON be landing at Queenstown Best for Pets — and trust us, your dogs are going to LOVE them!

🚚 Wednesday deliveries are coming!
