What a fabulous weekend we have had learning and upskilling from three fabulous New Zealand groomers who will be competing at the Worlds Grooming competition in Belgium later in the year. A big shout out to Rebecca at The Grooming Lounge, Whangarei for making her first class facility available.

I warmly invite you to join me for a gentle yet inspiring hands-on workshop.

At our last seminar, you watched as I guided a dog through the essential steps of pre-groom prep — nails, baths, HV drying, and fluff-drying. It was such a joy to share my process with you, and to show how a calm and steady foundation sets the tone for every beautiful groom. 💖

Now, we’ll take the next step together: the art of clipping and styling. With over 17 years in the grooming industry, I’ve learned that true balance lies in the details — shaping a clip to flatter a dog’s body, creating symmetry where it doesn’t naturally exist, and using subtle tricks to make a bent leg appear straight. ✨✂️

But grooming isn’t only about blades and scissors. It’s also about the energy we bring. A calm yet assertive presence can transform how a dog feels in our care. When we hold that space with gentle confidence, the dog relaxes, trusts us, and allows us to bring out their very best. 🐶💞

🐶 What to bring with you:
• A pre-prepped dog of your choice (bathed, dried, and ready for styling)
• Groomers loops x2
• Belly band
• Clippers & trimmers
• Set of guards
• x2 #30 blades
• Other blades of choice
• Scissors: straights, curves, thinners, chunkers
• Slicker brush & comb

This workshop is about more than perfecting a technique. It’s about building your confidence, strengthening your eye for detail, and leaving with the calm assurance that you can create balanced, professional grooms every time.
