Welcome to Paparoa Riding Group!

I tried to get this off the ground many years ago & while there was plenty of enthusiasm for it, it never actually eventuated as no one was keen to organize anything themselves.

There's many more horsey folk in the area now so I'm giving this another go to see if we can get it to fly...

The aim is inclusion of all without being affiliated with any official bodies (e.g. Pony Club) & without a committee & loads of rules. Ride bitless, ride ba****ck or don't ride at all, the ONLY RULES are that you wear a helmet when you're mounted on public grounds, you're under control & you promote exemplary horsemanship, putting the horse first at all times.

This is an opportunity for EVERYONE to get actively involved & organise get togethers & things you'd like to do or try.

Maybe you've always wanted to try polocrosse? Or have a go at jousting? Perhaps Working Equitation or Cowboy Challenge floats your boat? Or maybe, like me, you have a newly started horse that could do with some mileage in quiet company?
