What a great evening! 💙🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Horse Owners Information Evening last night! We hope you had a great time, enjoyed the evening and, most importantly, learnt something new to take away for your own horses. 🐴

We also hope everyone who took home one of our prizes enjoys their goodies! 🎁

A special thank you to John Dalton from Randlab Veterinary Medicines and Gretel Webber from Dunstan Horse Feeds for joining us and helping put together such a great evening. We really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and expertise with our local horse community.

And of course, a big thank you to our own vet, Lauren Dombroski, for putting the evening together and sharing her knowledge with us.

🐎 Next Week! - Gastroscopy Day 🩺

Gastroscopy Day - September 2nd

Gastric ulcers are extremely common in horses (research suggests up to 90% of horse may have ulcers!), and many show little to no obvious signs.

Symptoms can include mild colic (particularly after feeding), changes in attitude, reluctance to work, girthiness, poor condition, weight loss or a dull coat.

✅ A gastroscopy is the best way to accurately diagnose ulcers, determine their location and severity, and guide the right treatment.

Gastroscopy allows us to tailor treatment for your horse and give them the best chance at feeling better and performing at their best sooner! 🦄

🐴 Gastroscopy Day 🩺

Our next gastroscopy day with Randlab is September 2nd!

Equine gastric ulcers, are common in horses and can affect their comfort, behaviour, appetite and performance. A gastroscope allows us to examine the stomach directly, identify ulcers and assess their severity and location.

We can then tailor treatment for your horse based on the findings.

If you’ve noticed changes in your horse or are concerned they may have gastric ulcers, get in touch with our team.

Lauren will be away in Australia from 4th–9th June attending a Lameness Programme Workshop with The Equine Practice Company. This is a fantastic professional development opportunity that will bring even more knowledge and expertise back to benefit our equine patients.
