We are a small animal Veterinary practice. All this and still only a few minutes from the local centres of Papakura, Takanini, Clevedon, and Manurewa/Manukau.

The Ardmore Vet is surrounded by the beautiful hills of Brookby and Clevedon, and the practice enjoys stunning scenery. With many years of experience, our vets and nurses are skilled in handling your furry friend and fully trained in all areas of veterinary medicine. By making our clinic as stress-free as possible. We want to provide the most wonderful environment for you and us so that we can provide the best level of care possible for your pet.

🍬 Xylitol (found in sugar-free treats)

Even a little can make pets seriously sick! 😬 Stick to pet-safe snacks and treats to keep tails wagging and whiskers happy this winter. 💙

🐾 Meet Khane Hulk! 🐾

At a whopping 58kg, Khane Hulk is proof that sometimes there's just... a whole LOT of dog! 💪🐶

Despite his impressive size, he's an absolute gentleman with the sweetest smile. We loved having this handsome boy visit us, and we think you'll agree he's one very photogenic lad! ❤️

🖤 Meet Chookie! 🤍

Chookie visited us recently for a very important day at Ardmore Vets! She was in for her spay, microchip, and flea & worm treatment - all key steps to help keep her happy, healthy, and protected.

Spaying helps prevent unwanted litters and can reduce the risk of certain health problems later in life. Microchipping gives Chookie the best chance of finding her way home if she ever wanders, and keeping up with flea and worm prevention protects both her and her family.

Chookie was a brave little patient and recovered beautifully after her procedure. We hope she's now back at home, enjoying plenty of cuddles and a well-earned rest. 🐾💕

🐾 Registration Matters - Check Their Chip! 🐾

A microchip is only part of the story. If your pet's microchip isn't registered or your contact details aren't up to date, it can make it much harder for them to find their way home if they ever go missing.

Those big puppy-dog eyes had us all wrapped around Poppy's little paw. 🥹💕 She was such a brave girl for her procedure today, recovered like a superstar, and is now heading home for plenty of rest 🐾

❄️ Winter can be ruff 🐾

Just like us, our pets can feel the chill in their bones. Cold weather often makes arthritis and joint pain worse, especially in senior pets. If you notice your furry friend moving slower, struggling to get up, or seeming stiff after resting, it could be a sign their joints need a little extra care this winter. 💙

🚨 Limp detected. Investigation underway! 🚨

🐾 Buddy the Boxer stopped by today after developing a limp.

When a limp doesn't improve or there's no obvious cause, X-rays 🩻 can be an important tool to help us look for things like fractures, joint problems, or other changes that may not be visible on the outside.
