OK I know I'm having a timeout from the rescue, but... introducing 𝗠𝗨𝗥𝗥𝗔𝗬! 🩵

Murray has Pulmonic Stenosis and needs a Balloon Valvuloplasty. 💔🩺

Very Important Paws 🐾 Chauffeur 🚛 has been so kind to Māmā Mini's.

This is EEYORE! 🐱

He was found at Manawatū Prison and came malnourished, blind, and deaf. 💔

He also has a traumatic brain injury 🧠 - walks in circles and is away with the fairies. 🧚‍♀️

Just the diagnostics for him were $750+. 🩺

In June, I paused the rescue with 10+ canines and 20+ felines in care and little $. While I've been silent here, the work has been ongoing.

Now they've all found homes, I can announce that I've made the decision to have an indefinite timeout from Māmā Mini's while I navigate an unexpected diagnosis and undergo treatment.

However... I remain available to NZ Police given the unavailability, unreliability, and often unwillingness of the SPCA.

I want to reassure that Māmā Mini’s remains fiscally responsible and solvent. Our financial statements are public - available via the charities services website.

This is a medical decision - that's it.

Although I'm going away for a bit, the need for rescue will not go away.

Your donations are still welcome (and needed) as there's $2500 in vet bills remaining to balance the books with some high need emergency rescues in the last month (details/photos to follow later this week).

(33.33% tax credit on donations of $5+)

Once the vet bills are paid off, your donations will be used for rescues done with police or each time the donations reach $500, it'll be donated (on rotation) to rescues below who I've come to know and trust.

She's bold and brave - loves fun in the sun ☀️🌿 and travels well, so take her on adventures! 🚘

Her zooms 🌀 are 10/10! 💯

She's teething 🦷 + toilet-training (uses pee-pad) 💩.

She'd love to attend school to learn how to dog. 🔠🔢

Bruiser is a gentle, affectionate and easy going fella. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and loves being around his people. He’s very cuddly, enjoys attention, and has settled really well into a multi-dog home (also goes to doggy daycare). While he enjoys getting out for walks and adventures, he’s not an over the top high energy dog and is equally happy relaxing at home with his family. He’s well socialised with other dogs and is highly food motivated, making him enjoyable to train and continue building on his skills.

He travels well in the car (although he’ll happily try to rest his head on your shoulder for a cuddle if he’s riding in the back!). He’s currently on a high quality working dog diet to help him build condition and muscle. His experience with children and livestock is unknown, and while he has done well living with my cat, any introductions to cats should be monitored.
