Meet Ms Ti**le aka Ti**le Berry 💕
(the local kids named her)

This wee girl was found on someone’s property, she didn't move away when the lady approached her as she couldn't see. They rushed her straight down to us asking if we could help.

She arrived on Tuesday in pretty rough shape suffering from cat flu. She is in quarantine on medication and eye treatment and after just a few days both eyes are improving heaps. Despite her being sick she is still happy, enjoying the warmth and love.

We are full but how do you say no when someone is standing at your door holding a tiny sick kitten needing help? If we couldn’t take her, she would have been returned back to the property, which isn’t safe for stray cats.

We will keep you all updated on how she is doing.

Myles would like to introduce you to his newest foster babies.
(Whoops was supposed to post this earlier but got busy)

2 weeks ago we saw these pups getting sold on Facebook at only 3 weeks old, so we reached out as we were worried they would end up in the wrong hands.

Meet his babies:
🐾 Lyric - the runt - Female - White and Black/Brown
🐾 Shakira - Female - Blue
🐾 Royalty - Male - Merle
🐾 Marshall - Male - Lilac/ fawn

Myles has stepped in and taken them under his wing he will be showing them the ropes and teaching them all they need to know. He cleans them and allows them to try and feed off him.

Trust us Myles is a pro when it comes to babies.
Does he have a favorite? Yes most definitely, when they first arrived Myles chose Lyric the smallest pup and spent a bit more time with her but on the whole he loves them all equally.

On Monday we got a call from someone who we expected a call from one day about kittens and a mum they're trying to trap.
Ph starts ringing i see the name and think Not now not right this min im so busy for the next few hours. I pick up the ph saying "you haven't actually got any have you". Then the reply.... "not the mum but one kitten not sure its hers it was in an offal bin we dont know how long for".

She proceeds to tell me a staff member heard crying and another worker made a make shift stairs out of pallets to climb into the bin and pull this wee kitten out.
To all the staff involved in wee Olaffs rescue we cant thank you enough.

We have spoken to our vets as he has a sore throat but we all agree it's from crying so much.
Once we got him home he had a warm bath, some food and tucked up in a cozy bed with his teddy which he loves to cuddle up with.
He is a special boy who loves his cuddles and constantly purrs and kneads on his blankets.

Meet Mika
4 months
Mixed breed (we were told her mum was a staffy x boxer)

A few weeks ago, Mika was found wandering and was returned home after her owners saw our post.

Just nine days later, she was wandering again and had returned to the same house she went to the first time. But this time, when we picked her up, something had changed.

She was no longer her bubbly self. She was head shy, had a couple of minor cuts on her, and seemed much more sensitive than before.

We messaged her owners as soon as we heard she was roaming again, but didn’t receive a reply until two days later. They said they hadn’t realised she was missing and made the decision to surrender her into our care.

After a couple of days with us, we started to see her happy, playful side coming back through again.

Mika isn’t a bad dog. She just struggles with being left alone and is happiest when she’s close to her people.
She’s good with our dogs and cats. She’s playful and wants to interact with the cats, but she’s also incredibly gentle with them and loves giving them little licks and kisses.

Mika is looking for a family where she will be a loved family pet, who sleeps inside and won’t be left alone for long periods. Especially in the beginning. She can be left for longer periods over time we think if she has enrichment toys/activities or the company of another dog.

She needs good fences that she can't jump over. She is seeking comfort and companionship not escape we feel.

Mika is crate trained, has had her 1st vaccination, microchip (registered on NZCAR), is up to date with flea and worm treatment.

Adoption fee and Desexing contract apply

If you think you could offer Mika that kind of environment, feel free to reach out.

Meet Yoshi & Binx – available for pre-adoption
4 months old

Yoshi and Binx were rescued by a local kid before they and their brothers were going to be drowned.

These two share a close bond and love spending their time together, whether they are curled up having naps or running around playing. Because of this we would love to see them adopted together, however we will consider separate homes for the right fit.

Yoshi - He's a sweet boy who is often found tucked up under his blankets where he feels safe and cozy. He enjoys his pats and has a gentle nature.

Binx (chocolate colour) - he can be a little quiet at first, but it doesn’t take long for him to come out of his shell, especially when Yoshi is around. He loves cuddles and smooches into you when getting pats.

Both boys are good with other cats, dogs, older kids and are litter box trained.

Adoption fee applies
Located in Paeroa

They will be desexed, microchipped (registered on NZCAR), have had their 1st vaccination, and are up to date with flea and worm treatment. They will also come with a month’s free pet insurance with Pet-n-Sure.

If you can offer one (or both) of these boys a forever home, please get in touch.

Meet our latest arrivals (this could change by tomorrow around here)

Pistachio - Calico Female
Meatball - Ginger and white Male
Shelby - Black and white Female
Priscilla (our Drag queen) Black and white Male

We had a call about these 4 kittens who came from a farm not far away. Their mum is a stray who hangs around the farm. I was told kittens had lots of handling from the children in the family. These kittens were so well looked after that by the time we got them they were cuddly already.

They're making themselves at home while they grow and get ready to move out.
