So this morning 1 of my lovely Gizamoli families messaged me asking how Rayne is as I haven’t put any pics of her up lately. So I thought it was about time I share…

Rayne has suffered a partial injury to her right calcaneal (Achilles) tendon, likely from a twist or awkward landing while playing at home. After four weeks of crate rest she saw Rebekah her lovely physio and, thankfully, her tendon is intact (no complete rupture). She has some muscle wasting from not using the leg properly and a compensatory hip flexor tightness, but her prognosis is very good. She will continue crate rest with a gradual, controlled loading programme over the next few months, and we are hopeful for a full recovery by around week 12, in time to carry on with her breeding career.
