Hello Miaou family! A bit of a different post from my usual cat content but this handsome boy is in need of a new home 🤍 he is a gorgeous wee boy and his mum is very sad to be parting with him; below is a big blurb she has written for anyone interested, make sure you read through it thoroughly and send me an email: [email protected]
“Pikelet is needing a new home.
Pikelet is a 4yr old Ragdoll x Birman and he became part of my family when he was 1 day old when his breeder wanted to put him to sleep due to his umbilical cord having been wrapped around his foot and it was purple. I took him and fostered him onto a mum and he has never looked back.
Pikelet has a very big personality and has always loved my Great Danes and also played with my other cat now and then. In my previous living arrangement he visited my elderly landlord when I went to work and he was always welcomed and even got into bed with her. However where I am currently living I can no longer keep him due to him entering my new landlords home and attacking their cat. He went to a trial home with a friend but was very unsettled and was attacking her dogs so he is in temporary care to find him a new home.
Pikelet needs a specific veterinary food due to a gastrointestinal disease but I am happy to continue to help pay for this, he hates being brushed and also hates his long fur and pulls it out so needs sedating and shaving twice a year (he’s always so much happier with a fresh shave). Hes not a lap cat and belly rubs are strictly forbidden BUT he will sit close to you on the couch, he purrs like a trooper, gives you head boops and gives you little kisses. He sleeps on the left side of the bed right up by your face and likes to be up against you and loves his ears being rubbed and chin scratches.
He’s a playful boy and he deserves to find a home but we are running out of time as cannot stay where he is, so this is the type of home he needs..
- Rural Home without close neighbours, if you have neighbours he will enter other people’s homes and cause havoc.
- A home with no pets, he loved my dogs but when he went to a friend he attacked their big dogs and as he’s taken a disliking to other cats he needs to be the only pet.
- Someone who will play with him often
- A home who’s committed to feeding him the prescription food (I will continue to help with costs)
- A home that will continue to have him shaved twice a year to keep him happy and comfortable
He’s located in Ohaupo currently and would like a home around the Waikato so I can keep in touch and keep visiting him as he’s very special to me and wish that he could just come back home 😞 But finding him the best home is more important no matter where that is.
