“Monday; Why are you home. Its Monday, and you aren’t normally here. Its my time to have my own space and guard the place. I am following you sometimes as things are a bit different and I might be a little worried and clingy sometimes, am I missing out on something?”
When in ‘lock down’ Try and make things as normal as possible. Give your dog some ‘time out’. Put dog in their normal place when you are not normally home at different times through the day; Crate, back yard, pen area or wherever they normally go.
The worst cases that I have heard in the “lock down” last year is a dog starting to walk backwards. And another case of two dogs in the same household starting to argue with each other. In the latter a change of environment and time in the kennels (neutral territory) fixed this.
There are lots of articles about dog separation anxiety, care of Mr Google. Below are only some articles. Happy reading 😊

A few things will be different from Monday under level 3.
1) Dogs will be taken inside on our own leads.
2) Please fill in “contact Tracing Register”
3) Alternatively, can register on an app. Hopefully soon the app will have a one tap registration and your saved contact will be registered for the time/day you have come onto property. This is to save time hand filling out the contact tracing register. I have no control over this app (privacy act etc) but can be recalled for contract tracing if needed.
4) Register on only one. Unfortunately has to be done every time coming in and out as times/dates are also have to be registered.
5) There are hand sanitizers available. A variety with some nice smelly ones too
6) If dogs are collected and delivered from home, the register will be filled in for you.
7) Payments can be done online or by payWave.
8) At level 2, same process, at this stage. Except you will be allowed into the office/kennel areas.
