Lancewoods Stud was a small stud situated near Whakatane in the beautiful Bay of Plenty. Our aim was to breed quality Partbred Welsh and Saddlehunter ponies with excellent natures, conformation and versatility. We started our stud with only one broodmare in 2005 and have grown to two foundation and two young broodmares. We stood the Part-bred Welsh Pony stallion – Windsor Jack Sparrow. We liked to

get our youngstock out from foals as I think this helps make them more sensible and exposes them to all the goings on that comes with a show. Our daughter was also very much involved, with Kayte helping us at shows by running out the ponies and taking wonderful pictures for us to keep as a record.

Lancewoods Coppers Delight (Pinch) has resumed her Show Pony career, attending her first A&P show of the season on the weekend.

Pinch secured the titles of Champion Lead Rein Pony with Tahlia Korach, and Champion First Year Ridden Pony with Vincent Korach at the Bay of Island P&I Show.

Pinch happily strutted her stuff and looked after her little riders like the pro she is.

Lancewoods Coppers Delight went so nice and calm for our grandson yesterday. They are just a new combination but are really starting to gel together. It's such a lovely time watching a pony we bred out and about with our grandkids. They were Champion FYR and Adult Led Pony at BOI A & P ribbon day.
