ONE OF THOSE WEEKS…
What a week it has been here at fetchandfrolic26.com�.
Running a dog walking business means our vans travel everywhere — rough farm tracks, muddy paddocks, gravel roads, and all the beautiful off-the-beaten-track places that make adventures so special for the dogs. But this week, the vehicles definitely reminded us they work just as hard as we do!
One van missed its WOF and now needs new bushes front and back. Then, just to keep things interesting, we picked up a large screw in a tyre, while the other van decided to eat out the sidewall of a front tyre… meaning two brand-new tyres there too. Somewhere amongst all the chaos, a wing mirror also got broken.
As if the vehicle drama wasn’t enough, I ended up with a migraine — and trust me, everyone around me suffered too, because apparently I become quite the moaning minny when I’m sick! And now, to top it all off, a slight tummy bug has made its way through the house.
Sometimes life — and small business ownership — feels a bit relentless.
The reality of starting a new business is that there are weeks where it feels like everything you earn disappears straight back into keeping things running. But despite all the hiccups, the dogs still had their adventures, tails still wagged, and we’re still incredibly grateful to be building something we love.
Here’s hoping next week is a little kinder… and maybe, just maybe, we might even make a profit! 😂
