So sad. Zentwist Kwik Kiss has been found deceased. At least Kirstin now has closure. Our hearts go out to her 🐾💜🐾

As a breeder a wee piece of your heart goes with each pup. Kiss was a beautiful girl and far too young to leave this world. She will be missed immensely by her Zentwist family.

We are sure Grand dam Stellar will be looking after her. She passed 2 days after Kiss went missing. 💕

From Kirstin: Today a wonderful human being named Lisa called me with the news that no one wants to share. She and her dog Moose found Kisses body. Lisa retrieved her and wrapped her up in a blanket with some flowers. I'm not 100% sure where she was found, but somewhere in the river near Maddeley's road. While completely heartbroken, there is a form of peace in knowing what has happened. Now I can stop looking behind every tree and around every bend and wondering if today would be the day that I see her. 💔

✨ We are very excited to announce this special opportunity ✨

Mr Z from Kaida x Zen is available for a special 🏡 (his intended home has fallen through due to the owners change in circumstances).

We never expected this breeding to result in just one puppy, but this puppy was meant to be here.

Being a singleton means this puppy has had so much individual attention from the very beginning, and we are giving him the best possible start we can. He is showing he is far beyond his 6 weeks. Super confident puppy. Everything you’d want for a team mate.

He’s a fabulous cross of Kaida × Zen — two beautiful, proven champion sport lines that we were incredibly excited to bring together.

With both parents DNA and orthopaedically tested, and so much thought, planning and investment going into this breeding, we are excited to see what he might become and where his journey takes him.

We honestly think this could be a very exciting agility or sport dog for the future. ❤️

Of course, no one can predict what a puppy will ultimately achieve — but when you have these genetics, this start, and a puppy who already has so much promise, you can’t help but dream a little…

Could this be our next Zentwist champion? ✨

We are looking for a very special competitive sport 🏡 where this puppy can be developed to their full potential

Introducing our miracle puppy ❤️

We are beyond excited to announce that Kaida & Zen have created a stunning boy pup. (See our previous post for mating details).

Why is this puppy a miracle?

Because every step of this journey seemed to require a miracle.

Kaida came into season earlier than expected, and at the same time our imported semen became held up in customs for two and a half weeks. We had no idea whether it would be released or returned because it was a shared canister with some else’s documents wrong. It was an incredibly stressful time filled with uncertainty, endless waiting, and the growing fear that we would miss the breeding window altogether.

Thankfully, we had started progesterone testing just in case. On the Friday, Kaida’s levels were still low, giving us hope that we could at least make it through the weekend. By Monday, we still hadn’t heard anything from the import veterinarian, and no bloods were taken that day because samples needed to be collected by 8am for the courier. By the end of Monday there was still no news, so we didn’t book bloods for Tuesday, assuming the semen was unlikely to arrive in time.

Then, later Tuesday, the phone rang.
The semen had been split from canister and released (which was only done once ten years ago!!) and it was on its way.

Miracle #1.

First thing Wednesday morning we headed to TCI Feilding. By 9am the canister had arrived.

The correct semen was inside.

Miracle #2.

Bloods were taken, followed by what felt like the longest wait ever. Finally, at 11:30am, the vet called.

“Yes, we can inseminate.”

Miracle #3.

It turned out to be the last possible day we could have successfully bred Kaida.

Miracle #4.

After two weeks of stress, uncertainty, and hoping against the odds, I was absolutely overwhelmed with relief, gratitude, and excitement.

What makes this story even more special is that all of this happened 2 days after Kaidas dam Chika’s birthday and also the beautiful Kiss went missing, Kaida’s sister. But mostly and very emotionally it was on the same day that Kaida’s beautiful granddam Stellar made her journey to the Rainbow Bridge.
Before saying goodbye, she spent one final day with us, enjoying time at the park alongside her daughter and three of her grandchildren — her beloved Zentwist family.

As one chapter gently closed, another began.

It felt as though she left us a very special gift.❤️✨

I am super excited to announce this mating.
We have one very special boy born 7/8/2026.

I am so appreciative of Kasia @ zen.effect_dogphysio for allowing me to import Zen to New Zealand. He’s a dog I have followed since he was young and I kept going back to him due to his stunning athleticism and amazing temperament. The perfect dog to compliment our Zentwist line.

About Zen
(Welshriverdee Rayder x Fru is a Workaholic)
560mm 20kgs
HDA, ED 0,OCD 0, LTV 0
Spine Clear, Eyes & Heart Clear
MDD Clear

Zen is an incredibly confident dog who loves to work and does everything with enthusiasm and responds beautifully to pressure. He is a stunning athlete! In training he has great power BUT he likes to do things smartly and he really has the ability to rescue situations on course. His stunning temperament has come through all of his progeny and that was most important in my selection of him. He is also quiet when working!

Zen excels in agility and bitework. He has grit but is as sweet as pie.

See link in comments of Zen doing agility.

Two of Zen's half-siblings represented Poland at the obedience world championships (a half-brother from his mother's side and a half-brother from his father's side).
Zen's sister Tekoa In 2023 she took 2nd place at the AWC in jumping. She also won Crufts. At the EO she was 4th in the finals.

About Kaida
(Zentwist Chika-Chi x Foxridge Jack)
503mm 13kgs
HD 2/2, ED 0, OCD 0, LTV 0, Spine Clear.
MDD Clear except EAOD carrier

Kaida is the result of blending very successful agility lines with imported SupremeChamp working lines.

Kaida is the sweetest most intuitive happy girl. Such a big heart and knows just what you want. And she responds well when asked not to do something.
She is social with all animals and people. Even in very close proximity, such as when visiting a home based doggie daycare with a variety of dogs she doesn’t know.
In agility training she prefers to get it right then build speed. She’s a super fast learner. Although she hasn’t competed yet she is highly competent at coursework with a stunning jump technique. She’s very much a team mate working in connection with her handler.
She has perfect hips, shoulders and spine and that is reflected in the way she moves. She’s super powerful, fast, nimble and light on her feet.
She has excelled in RallyO with numerous wins.

I absolutely adore this girl and believe she has the balance of traits for success for our future Zentwist superstars.

Kaida’s half sisters (Zentwist Chika-Chi x Tanhill Glen)
Zeat, Fate, Trust, ViVa are excelling in agility.
Especially Zeat achieving NZ Agility Champ and Jumpers Grand Champion under 3 years age.

Kaida’s aunties Foxridge Fade & Foxridge Vivid (Foxridge Jack sisters) are excelling in UK at agility and are part of UK team for worlds.
Tristram

Kaida’s uncle Kruze (Chika’s brother) has excelled in agility and achieved NZ Supreme Champ.
