Walter is a male cat with the most friendly, loving personality. ❤️ He’s a very sweet boy, and we would love to get him home safely.

Paddock Vets Disbudding Team 2026

Demand for our calf disbudding service continues to rise, and we're excited to grow our team for the 2026 season!

This is a temporary, seasonal position with flexible hours Monday to Friday and will run from August to late October. We start most days at 8.30am and finish by 5pm.

What we are looking for:
- Previous vet tech experience would be a real advantage.
- Previous experience working with farm animals is essential.
- We need someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail and has the ability to perform tasks to a high standard.
- You need to be physically fit.
- Above all else, you need to have a good sense of humour and enjoy working in a fun team environment.
- Full training will be provided.

Paddock Vets are looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team in Methven.

We’re a well-established, thriving mixed practice with 8 experienced vets, based in a purpose-built clinic in the heart of Methven. Our small animal clinic is busy, well-equipped, and offers a full range of veterinary services to our clients. We’re a close-knit, supportive team who work hard, enjoy a laugh along the way, and care deeply about our patients and clients.

About the Role

This role involves all aspects of small animal nursing, alongside supporting our reception and admin team. It would suit someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on nursing, client interaction, and being part of a team where everyone pitches in.

You’ll Need

• 2–3+ years of veterinary nursing experience
• Confidence with anaesthesia and inpatient care
• Strong organisation and communication skills
• A positive, team-focused attitude

The Paddock Vets team traded the clinic for the great outdoors earlier this month! 🐾🌄

A few of our crew took on the Mount Somers Rogaine on March 14th — navigating hills, maps, and who knows what else along the way! 🗺️💪

Safe to say their teamwork extends well beyond the clinic.
Huge effort by everyone involved — what an epic day out! 👏

We are very sorry to share that a large ginger and white cat , has been bought into the clinic. There is no microchip , and the cat was found just south of Methven on the highway. Sadly he is now deceased.

A lovely liver/white, female spaniel has been brought in to the clinic. Not microchipped.
