As the final truck leaves and the last box emptied - It is with a heavy heart we regret to inform you that Moemoea Park is closing it’s gate for the last time here in NZ.

The gate keepers (pictured below) who have been our number ones can finally lay down their arms after a solid 9 years of service and as we reflect on over 5000 little faces that have passed through our gate, we are incredibly proud of their achievements and will continue to watch on as they fulfil their purpose in life.. many of whom have been natural born beauties and others who have needed a little assistance to get there, all have made us proud!

We will be forever grateful to each and every person who has been apart of Moemoea and supported us along the way and we thank you for being the reason we are able to live our dream each and every day.

MP grad - She’s the epitome of size doesn’t matter!!! The heart of a lion this wee girl is so tough, congratulations to all connections and to David and Heidi for an amazing job done 🐎❤️

Tavi With Me took her time to break her maiden but now she is in the winning groove, winning back-to-back races at Pukekohe. We are glad to see this daughter of Tavistock rewarding the patience shown by Greene Racing limited and connections.

And we are back racing 🐎❤️ a huge congratulations to Ross Nickel and Ridgeview Chief, son of Niagara with Jasmine Fawcett on board. Fresh up and at only his 2nd outing to the races, he blew them away today at Matamata. ❤️ watching our MP graduates out there doing their thing on the track!

As the day draws to a close we would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to all the thoroughbreds out there! Pictured here is one of our very important “lead ponies” and the oldest of our team turning 13 years old today, spending the day at the races (one of his many duties) supporting the team 🥰

GO YOU GOOD THING!!! Danny trained his first winner today of only his 3rd horse to race, amazing ride by Erin who has done a lot of this boys trackwork and came into today with confidence at his first start! Gibbo as he is affectionately known was also broken in and pre trained by Danny. Massive congrats to his owners Markwood Lodge. 🥃🎉

Misconduct aka Big Momma update: Last raced on the 22nd of May, a couple of weeks let down here at the farm, off with her new owner for 10 days and this is the result so far….😍🦄 I might add she had never seen a jump before in her life 🙈 super flexible and trainable are the mighty TBs ❤️ well done Jemima you are doing a superb job with this big girl!!

The best gift we can give our horses is a great all rounded education as this sets them up for their careers in racing but most importantly their life after racing! We are thrilled to have found these two beautiful kids a safe and happy home to help them take the next step for their futures. It is always a sad day when you have to say goodbye but we are super excited to see what they choose as their next career 🦄

Mares aren’t always well liked and for the same reasons strong women aren’t.

Opinionated? Those opinions are not without good cause and maybe you can't figure them out or maybe you just don’t like her opinion of you. Change it and she will always be on your side.

Stubborn? She just won’t let you bulldoze her. Treat her with respect and her resilience will be an asset to you.

Difficult? You just can’t handle her. You don’t have what it takes.

Stick with geldings then, and leave the mare for someone who understands her and appreciates the same qualities society has subtlety taught you not to like.

Here’s to mares, to strong women, and to those who CAN and DO appreciate them!
