🌟 Congratulations to MVS EquiBreed Vet, Ria! 🌟

πŸŽ‰ Congratulations to Ria, one of our two 2026 Jonathan Hope Equine Veterinarian Scholarship recipients!

Ria graduated from Utrecht University in the Netherlands in 2017 and has since built an impressive career as an equine veterinarian across Australia, the UK, the Netherlands, and New Zealand, with a primary focus on reproduction. She has been a valued member of the MVS Equibreed team since 2021.

Driven by a passion for continual learning, Ria is working toward becoming a specialist in Animal Reproduction. This year, the scholarship will support her in spending time with leading experts in North America β€” including a placement at Colorado State University β€” as well as with a reproduction specialist in Australia.

We're proud to support Ria on her journey toward becoming an Animal Reproduction Specialist, and look forward to the expertise she will bring back to equine breeders here in New Zealand. 🐴

What an incredible day. πŸŽ€

On Friday 22 May we hosted our Pink Ribbon Charity Lunch & Fundraiser here at MVS Equine. We are blown away by the support.

To our amazing team who showed up in pink, baked, decorated the clinic, ran tours, and kept the whole thing moving, you are the reason this day happened. We are so proud of you all!

To our friends at Rural Support Trust, thank you for the BBQ and for giving up your Friday for us. It meant the world.

To the 45- 50 people who walked through our doors and joined us thank you for being part of it. We hope you left with full bellies and a good feeling.
And to every single person who donated, shared a post, scanned a QR code in a car park, or told a friend a massive thank you! You helped us raise an incredible amount for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ and we couldn’t be more grateful. Our total was $5,400 which has contributed to a nationwide amount of $2.2 million.

This community never ceases to amaze us. 🌸

TWO DAYS TO GO πŸŽ€

We started with a goal of $1,000. We're sitting at $3,700. Not bad from our little slice of paradise in Matamata.

To everyone who has donated, shared, or simply spread the word, thank you. You've made this something really special.

But we're not done yet! Two days left and we'd love to see how far we can push it. Scan the QR code, donate what you can, and share this post with someone who might too.

And if you haven't RSVP'd yet there's still time! Come join us Friday for a free BBQ lunch courtesy of Rural Support Trust, baked goodies, fun games, and a clinic tour.

πŸŽ‰ WE DID IT and then some!!

When we set our Pink Ribbon Breakfast fundraising goal at $1,000, we genuinely hoped we'd get there. What we didn't expect was to blow straight past it and land at nearly $3,000!! πŸŽ€

We are absolutely overjoyed. The generosity of this community has left us speechless. To every single person who has donated, shared, or shown their support THANK YOU. From the bottom of our hearts. You are the reason this matters.

But here's the thing... we're not done yet. We are still 9 days away!

With our Pink Ribbon Charity Lunch & Fundraiser just around the corner, we want to see how far we can push this. The goalposts have moved and we want to smash them completely. Could we hit $3,500? $4,000? With your help, absolutely.

πŸ‘‰ If you haven't donated yet, now is your moment. Every dollar, big or small, makes a real difference to Breast Cancer Foundation NZ and the incredible work they do for Kiwi women and their families.

Scan the QR code on our poster to donate, or share this post so someone else can. Let's keep this momentum going! 🌸

As we all know, horses and riders are some of the most vulnerable road users on New Zealand roads. This Road Safety Week which kicks off today, we're supporting the NZ Vulnerable Road User Charitable Trust and the message is simple - Pass Wide and Slow πŸ‡πŸš—

If you’re driving and see a horse ahead:
🚘 Slow down
➑️ Give plenty of space
🀫 Pass carefully and quietly
🐴 Small actions make a real difference to horse welfare and rider safety
