A big weekend ahead for the Rich Hill Stud stallion roster, with progeny of ACE HIGH, SATONO ALADDIN, PROISIR and SHOCKING set to feature across four Group races in Australia and New Zealand.

Outstanding 3YO Blind Raise (ACE HIGH) takes on the Gr.1 Ladbrokes Cox Plate (2040m) at Flemington on Saturday. He will jump from barrier 9 with just 49.5kgs on his back with the race set to go at 7:10pm NZT. Following a runner-up finish in the Gr.1 Caulfield Guineas, the ACE HIGH gelding will look to become the fourth 3YO to conquer the classic feature in the last 30 years. Bred by The Oaks Stud, Blind Raise continues to fly the flag for proven sire ACE HIGH this season.

SATONO ALADDIN will be represented by Firestorm in the Gr.2 The Invitation at Randwick over 1400 metres. Jumping from barrier 11 at 6:45pm NZT, the 6YO mare brings proven stakes form to the $2 million feature, having won the Gr.2 Millie Fox Stakes (1300m) and a runner-up finish in the Gr.1 Coolmore Classic (1500m).

Champion New Zealand sire PROISIR has a double representation in the Gr.3 War Decree Stakes (1400m) at Riccarton set to go at 3.09pm NZT. Gelding Omega Sprint is drawn in barrier 2 and filly Sheza Professional in barrier 3. These two promising 3YOs are coming in off the back of breaking their maiden impressively last time out and will be right amongst the finish.

Proven sire SHOCKING is represented by Shockletz in Race 9 the Gr.3 Tesio Stakes (2040m) at Flemington which will go at 7.50pm NZT. This will be her final hitout before she heads to the Gr.1 Melbourne Cup on the first Tuesday in November.

On Monday, champion sire PROISIR has another two-pronged attack in a feature race with Whistlejacket and Angels Halo lining up in the Gr.2 James and Annie Sarten Memorial (1400m) at Te Rapa.

We’ll also be tuning into the first on the card at Trentham, with Old Fashioned (PROISIR)
lining up as part of his 2000 Guineas prep, a race he’s currently second favourite for.

We wish all connections the very best of luck this weekend.

As anticipation builds towards Saturday’s Gr.1 Ladbroke’s Cox Plate (2040m), hear from Blind Raise’s (ACE HIGH) co-trainer Trent Busuttin Racing on his chances in the classic feature.

With his relaxed nature and heading into the race fourth-up, Busittin is confident the son of proven sire ACE HIGH will handle the step up in distance. Blind Raise will also carry just 49.5kg under the WFA conditions.

Of the 29 three-year-olds to have contested the Gr.1 Cox Plate over the past century, four have claimed victory and nine have finished in the placings. This Saturday at Flemington, Blind Raise (ACE HIGH) will look to add his name to the history books.

From the Caulfield Guineas to the Cox Plate for Blind Raise! 🏆

Gr.1 Caulfield Guineas runner-up, by our own ACE HIGH, Blind Raise will take his place in this Saturday’s $6 million Group 1 Cox Plate, one of Australian racing’s most prestigious contests.

He’ll be aiming to become the first three-year-old since Shamus Award in 2013 to win Australia’s weight-for-age championship - a bold challenge and a testament to the faith his connections have in his galloping ability.

"I think they've got him at 10/1, he is a genuine chance in it, so you've got to have a go." - Trent Busuttin.

All eyes on Saturday. Best of luck to all involved!

🏆 SIX WINNERS ACROSS NEW ZEALAND & AUSTRALIA! 🏆

An outstanding weekend on the track for the progeny of our proven stallions Satono Aladdin, Proisir, Ace High and Shocking, with six winners celebrating success across New Zealand and Australia! 🌟👏

🇳🇿 SINGLETARY (SATONO ALADDIN) kicked things off at Ōtaki on Saturday, breaking through for his maiden victory in the Cavallo Farms & Chris Rutten Bloodstock Three-Year-Old (1200m). Promising to be a good horse, he made the most of his opportunity in an open three-year-old event. Singletary was purchased for $125,000 at the 2025 NZB Karaka Book 2 Sale, where he was consigned by Rich Hill Stud.

🇳🇿 OMEGA SPRINT (PROISIR) also broke his maiden in an open three-year-old event on Sunday, taking out the Gluyas Motor Group 3YO (1300m) at Ashburton. Bred by James Chapman of Jamieson Park Ltd, Omega Sprint was unbeaten in two trials before finishing fourth on debut. He looks an exciting prospect for his connections as he continues to develop.

🇳🇿 Also at Ashburton, TIMETOPLAYTHEGAME (PROISIR) produced a terrific front-running performance to win the Thank You Barneswood Farm Benchmark 65 (1600m) by two lengths. A rewarding result for breeders and owners Terry and Vicki Pascoe, who will be delighted with his performance.

🇳🇿 At Waverley, GAMBLING GIRL (ACE HIGH) made her mark with victory in the C R Grace/Tony Wilson Livestock Maiden (1400m) at just her second start. Bred by Andy Rennie, she is also well-related, being a half-sister to the recently retired Belardo Boy.

🇳🇿 THRILLING (SHOCKING) rounded out a successful weekend in New Zealand with an impressive first-up victory in the Total Log Haulage Total Transport Benchmark 75 (1650m) at Waverley on Sunday. Congratulations to trainer Lisa Latta, jockey Bruno Queiroz and breeders M G Colson, S P France and M W Freeman.

🇦🇺 Across the Tasman, GO MAGGIE MAE (PROISIR) made the perfect start to her racing career, scoring on debut in the Energy Australia Maiden Plate (1100m) at Moe on Sunday. Purchased for $325,000 at the 2025 NZB Ready to Run Sale, where she was consigned by Curraghmore, she looks an exciting filly with a bright future ahead.

👏 Congratulations to all the breeders, owners, trainers and connections behind this fantastic weekend of results!

This weekend, we look forward to Group 1 action across the Tasman, with She’s A Hustler (ACE HIGH) lining up in the A$6.5 million Gr.1 Caulfield Cup (2400m). Waitak (PROISIR), the WFA Warrior, secured his fifth elite-level victory with a win in the Gr.1 Livamol Classic (2040m) at Hastings on Saturday. He has now achieved back-to-back victories in both the Gr.1 Howden Insurance Mile (1600m) and the Gr.1 Livamol Classic (2040m), further cementing his status as the flagbearer for his sire, PROISIR. Bred by the late Colin Devine, Waitak is raced by Colin’s widow, Jill, who was on course to witness the special achievement.

Across the Tasman, exciting filly Satono Glow (SATONO ALADDIN) showcased her class with a commanding victory in the Gr.2 Roman Consul Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill. The only filly in the field, she powered home to defeat a high-class field of colts and geldings by more than a length. Bred by Dr Phillip Chen and sold through Windsor Park Stud’s 2025 Karaka Book 1 draft, Satono Glow has now won four of her five starts, including two Group 3 and one Group 2 victory, with her career earnings approaching $500,000.

Blind Raise (ACE HIGH) lost no admirers after a courageous second-place finish in the Gr.1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield on Saturday. Bred by The Oaks Stud and sold through their 2025 Karaka Book 1 draft to his trainers, Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young, for just $80,000, he has now amassed close to $1 million in stakes earnings for his connections. He currently sits fourth on the Victorian Metro Top Horses table for the 2026/27 season.
