Dressage Wairarapa Welcome to Dressage Wairarapa. We are based at the Solway A&P Showgrounds in Masterton.

The aims of Wairarapa Dressage are to:
- encourage the growth and development of the sport in our area, enabling as many riders as possible to participate in all levels,registered and unregistered
- provide more local events at all levels for allriders
- encourage new judges, and assist current judges to maintain accreditation and upgrade
- inform our local area riders of the opportunities offered by Equestrian Sports New Zealand through Dressage New Zealand

We had a great day today at the first round of the Horse & Cat Vet Wairarapa Dressage Wairarapa Spring Series.

There was a bit of 'spring' in some of the horses and ponies as expected - well done to everyone who competed!

Lots of new riders giving dressage a go which is very exciting, as well as some amazing new horses starting out, and others stepping up to a new level!

Huge thanks to our officials, volunteers and committee for making it all happen - as well as our amazing sponsor Horse & Cat Vet Wairarapa.

Our show is nearing! If you are looking to scratch can you please let Ann Webster know by 5pm today if possible. Anyone able to help put arenas up we need help from 1pm tomorrow.

Arena Familiarisation starts at 3pm or earlier if arenas are set up, this goes through to 5pm. You can only ride tomorrow between 2.45 and 5pm when the steward and first aid cover is available.

The draw for the Horse & Cat Vet Wairarapa Dressage Wairarapa Spring Series on Sunday will be posted on Wednesday. The Non-Graded Intro and Prelim classes will be in the Presidents Oval (grass), the Non-Graded Novice and all other classes will be on the all-weather sand surface. Please let Ann Webster know by Tuesday 3pm if you are going to scratch. We have Dovecote House on the grounds on Sunday for coffee and food. Corina Belliss Photography will also be there so let her know in advance if you would like her to get photos for your test.

Entries close on Wednesday for the Horse & Cat Vet Wairarapa Dressage Wairarapa Spring Series round 1 (held on 6th September), so don't forget to enter. Remember to pay your entries fees for your entry to be accepted, note we have changed bank account details, it is updated in the schedule for the show. Round 2 (held on 27th September) is also live on Evo Events, so go ahead and enter that too while you are there! Remember to check that your rider and horse registrations are up to date. Just under 2 weeks until the first show of the season for us!

The Horse & Cat Vet Wairarapa Dressage Wairarapa Spring Series round 1 (6th September) schedule is up live on Evo Events, entries close on the 26th August. Note we have changed bank account details, it is updated in the schedule to the show, so remember to change your details when you do your online payments! For our graded riders, don't forget to check that your rider and horse registrations are up to date before entering, being the start of the season, this often trips people up. Remember there is something for everyone with graded and non-graded classes. Exciting to be so close to starting a new season of dressage, we look forward to seeing you all there.
