My name is Annie, I thank you for visiting Little Pastures. There are a few things on offer at Little Pastures, if you don't see what you want on the list and it involves horses, just ask and I may be able to accommodate, I work in a very friendly, fun, inclusive atmosphere, currently on offer is:

popular for adults returning to riding and parents of horse mad kids
who need to know a little more about caring and handling.

So a little about me…..Little pastures has been and continues to be a labour of love for me, I have been fortunate enough to have great family and friends who support this venture and help out with things that I can't do. (i'm good with horses buuuut not so good at building hehe)
I have had a total of approx 30 years of being around, riding and playing with horses and have enjoyed every minute. During this time I have strived and expanded my knowledge and skills with horses and gained 4 levels and had 6 years worth of training with Dromgool Horsemanship by Ken and Jane Dromgool and am now 1 of 7 people chosen nationwide to work with Dromgool Horsemanship. Ken is a world renowned New Zealand clinician who has been trained in the USA by top clinicians such as the Dorrence brothers and Ray hunt. The things I focus on most in my work with horses is safety around horses for the client and the horse, I teach people how to interact with horses, how to read their moods, how to notice the small signs that horses give us that means they are trying to communicate with us. In the past I have been frustrated with some horses, but I can now look back and think well…what worked? That reflection is what has taught me ALOT of what I know now. If You ask the right way there isn't much most horses won't do for you if they are physically and mentally able. I have based my handling skills on what I would call “horsemanship” Teaching people to behave in a way that the horse can understand will improve your handling skills and help keep you safe. This complements both classical and natural handling and riding styles. Looking forward to hearing from you!!
