Being a new clinic means there’s a lot more to building a team than just learning where everything lives and getting through a busy day of desexing! 😂❤️

Our Manukau team is still relatively new, and we wanted to make sure they had the chance to get to know each other outside the clinic - and to spend some time with the teams from our sister clinics, Lynfield Vets and Mog and Dog Desexing Whangārei.

So on Friday, our whole Mog and Dog team came together at Rainbows End for a day of team building, laughs and a little bit of friendly competition! 🎢🤣

Veterinary work can be busy and emotionally demanding, and having a team that trusts each other, communicates well and genuinely enjoys working together makes such a difference. For a new team like ours at MAD, building those relationships early is especially important.

A few rides, plenty of laughs and some time together outside of scrubs and surgery - exactly what we needed. ❤️

We’re so proud of how our Manukau team has come together and can’t wait to see what we continue to build together. 🐶🐱🫶🏽

Yesterday our clinic had a well deserved day off from a busy busy week of desexing, to do a team bonding adventure with our sister clinics Lynfield Vets and Mog and Dog Desexing Clinic Whangarei!

As you can see, we had a fun time catching up and competing against friends and the big boss herself! 🙂

Our team especially doesn’t tend to post many photos including our faces, so here’s a little treat 😉

And of course, some client photos from the week we had! Our team especially fell in love with a couple of sweethearts called Patch and Jeremy (bonus videos in the comments), who had as much love to give as we do when meeting our new furry friends 🫶🏽

One BIG post for both this week and last!

As you can see, we’ve been super busy! Our staff have been under the pump with high volumes of dog and cat speys especially, trying to prevent as many unwanted litters as possible!

Kitten season is slowly creeping up, we highly recommend getting your female cats in ASAP before they contribute to the overcrowding population hitting our rescues 🙂

Our friends at Lonely Miaow Association are running their desexing campaign, so if you are interested in getting your kitties done but need help with funds, please reach out to them!

A delayed post about last week, but here’s some snippets of the cuties we got to work with!!

Graeme the ginger kitten provided a lot of giggles, as well as a Chihuahua called Penny who showed off her serenading skills 😂

Hi MAD followers!

Posting to give you all an update - Zip will no longer be available to use from the 17th of August 2026. They have sent an email saying they are withdrawing from the NZ market.

We will still have Afterpay available though.

Last week we had some of the cuddliest and hilarious clients come through our door!

Note the big black and white boy dog called Mister who was the sweetest ball of energy! He had an interesting way of falling asleep, but we aren’t one to judge 🤣

Our nurses fell in love with a fluffy cat called Teddy, who as you can tell by the photos, enjoyed being carried like a baby around the clinic 😆

We can’t wait to meet the babies booked in for this week! 🫶🏽
