Seaview Cattery A fantastic holiday space for your cats, near Wellington, with a large play area under grapevines

We love kitten playtime - here Cynthia, who is small for her 8 months, maintains pole position over fluffy Ziggy, 6 months. ^Katie

Hemi is currently in limbo for another couple of weeks, while we go through a process with his owner who has been given a deadline to either accept that he has abandoned Hemi, or to pay the outstanding bill. In the meantime, Hemi is his usual happy self, enjoying being recognised and petted by many Seaview Cattery customers who saw his angelic appearance on , The Breeze NZ and RNZ. If the owner doesn't bring this to a satisfactory resolution, Hemi will go to a rehoming organisation: we are not going to rehome him ourselves as too many people are interested

Poor, lovable ragdoll Hemi came to stay for 3 weeks in February - seven months later he's still here: his owner has disappeared overseas, isn't answering emails and is not paying the mounting bill. What a catastrophe! Hemi waits at the door every morning for a shoulder ride and his special tummy kisses. ^Katie

Oh you have a cattery?! You must have such lovely photos on your camera reel!

This is how Alfie asks for a Temptations Cat Treats biscuit - by tapping you on the shoulder. (Or hooking you as you pass by.) ^Katie

Cats adore being out in Seaview Cattery's catio to get lovely warm sunshine, and to do some serious birdwatching. ^Katie

Here's a glimpse of our evening routine that owners rarely see. Our guests, tired from a day out, and drowsy from full tummies and the warmth of the heater, willingly snuggle up in their beds to dream of mice and cheese until we open up their pens again early in the morning. Even Lexicon, who you can hear wanting more time out, settles down eventually with his furry whale toy. Such a lovely feeling to see everyone so content and comfy. Katie

Bernard loves riding to his favorite high perch at feeding time - and, be warned: he has been known to surprise random visitors by leaping onto their shoulders, especially if they are wearing expensive jumpers. ^Katie
