Wags Pet Hotel is a boutique family-owned business located in Levin, New Zealand. 1.5 hour drive from Wellington and 45 minute drive from Palmerston North. Our services include daycare, hotel stays, grooming and pet supplies. During your pets stay, they will be cared for by a dedicated team of professional and experienced animal carers. At Wags Pet Hotel we believe all pets should be treated with

care, compassion, and kindness. We will provide you with honest feedback and updates if requested on how your pet settles during their time here.

Heads up Canine Cough is starting to rare its head in the lower north island again.

Just to dispel some myths ...

The Virus is airborne, no amount of cleaning will stop a dog contracting it where it has socialised with another dog carrying it.
All dogs attending a professional service should be vaccinated but this doesn't stop a dog contracting it, just like us and the flu vaccine.
It is called Canine Cough to stop the stigma that dogs can only catch it at Kennels.
Please be vigilant though and if you notice your dog has any of the following:

* a hacking Cough like they've got something stuck in their throat
* reverse sneezing
* runny nose
* lethargic

Or any other unusual symptoms please keep them home. You don't need to see a vet if minor, but they certainly don't mind you ringing for peace of mind.
Dogs are contagious about 3 days before symptoms show and 10 days after last symptoms.

Daycare today - if you would rather not travel, please stay at home. We are not expecting anyone to travel today.

We are open our normal hours for those that need us.

All the pets staying here are all good and doing well.

Stay warm and dry and risk adverse.
