🐾 Why Do Pets Need Vaccinations? 💉
Vaccinations are one of the simplest ways we can help protect our pets from serious infectious diseases. ❤️
Even pets who mostly stay at home can still be exposed to illness, so keeping their vaccinations up to date is an important part of their ongoing healthcare.
🐶🐱 Vaccinations can help to:
✔️ Protect your pet from serious diseases
✔️ Reduce the spread of illness to other pets
✔️ Provide ongoing protection throughout their life
Every pet is different, which is why your vet can help you decide which vaccinations are appropriate and when they should be given.
💙 Protect their health. Protect their community.

🐾💚 When your new hood makes you flop! 😂🐶

This little lady was such a sweetheart during her visit today. After being fitted with her rather stylish hood, we popped her on the reception desk… and apparently the hood was enough to make her legs stop working! 🤣💤

From adorable cuddles to an unexpected desk flop, she certainly kept us smiling. 💚🐾

10/10 for cuteness, 0/10 for standing up in the hood! 😂

🐾 What does “triage” mean at the vet clinic?

When you bring your pet to an emergency or busy clinic, patients are assessed based on how urgently they need care. ❤️

🚨 Pets with life-threatening problems are seen first.
⏳ Stable pets may need to wait a little longer.
💙 Waiting doesn’t mean your pet is less important.
👩‍⚕️ Our team will keep you updated while you wait.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to care for every pet safely. 🐶🐱

🐾💙 It’s not always just old age!

As our pets get older, changes in their drinking, appetite, weight, mobility, behaviour or sleep can sometimes be signs of an underlying health issue.

Senior pets can be experts at hiding illness, and many conditions are more manageable when caught early. 🐶🐱

If you’ve noticed something different, don’t just put it down to age — book a senior pet check-up with 111 Vet Clinic. 🩺

🐾 Is this normal? 🤔

As pet owners, we know our furry friends have plenty of quirky habits—but sometimes a change in behaviour can be a sign that something isn’t quite right. 🐶🐱

Some behaviours are often perfectly normal, like zoomies, sleeping after a busy day, regular grooming and the occasional bark or meow. 💙

But keep an eye out for changes such as:
❤️ Hiding more than usual
❤️ Changes in appetite or drinking
❤️ Excessive licking, grooming or scratching
❤️ New limping, soreness or reluctance to move
❤️ Changes in toileting or litter-tray habits
❤️ Becoming more vocal or noticeably different in personality

You know your pet best. If something feels different, it’s always okay to ask. Behaviour changes can sometimes be linked to pain, stress or illness.

🐾 Puppy & Kitten Danger Zone! 🚨

Puppies and kittens are curious, playful—and sometimes surprisingly good at getting themselves into trouble! 🐶🐱

Some emergencies to watch out for include:
🍫 Eating something they shouldn’t
🤢 Repeated vomiting or diarrhoea
🫁 Trouble breathing
🩹 Falls, injuries or accidents
⚡ Sudden weakness, shaking or collapse

Young pets can deteriorate quickly, so if something doesn’t feel quite right, don’t wait—call us for advice early. ❤️
