🐾 HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DOG DAY! 🐾

Today is all about celebrating our loyal, goofy, loving and sometimes slightly chaotic four-legged family members. 🐶❤️

Whether they're your hiking buddy, your couch companion, your morning alarm clock, or the one who somehow knows exactly when you're eating something they want… dogs bring so much joy to our lives.

But one of the best ways we can show our dogs how much we love them is by looking after their health. 🩺

Regular veterinary check-ups, keeping them up to date with vaccinations and parasite prevention, looking after their teeth, maintaining a healthy weight and paying attention to changes in their behaviour can all help keep our best friends happy and healthy for as long as possible.

So today, give your dog an extra cuddle, an extra walk, their favourite treat (if they're allowed 😉), and a big “thank you for being you.”

And while you're giving them that cuddle, maybe ask yourself:

“When was my dog's last health check?” 🐾

When an animal comes into our veterinary hospital, they can often feel frightened, confused and vulnerable. Being away from home and surrounded by unfamiliar sights, sounds and smells can be stressful, especially when they are unwell.

That’s why we believe caring for our patients is about so much more than medicine. It’s also about making them feel safe, loved and cared for while they are with us.

Whenever their health allows, we give our patients time outside their cages to stretch their legs, explore, have a gentle wander or enjoy a little play. Some simply need a cuddle, a kind voice and a comforting presence beside them. For those who are too sick or weak to move around, we make sure they still receive plenty of gentle attention, affection and reassurance.

Every patient is treated as an individual, with patience, kindness and compassion. A quiet cuddle, a gentle stroke, a little freedom to explore, or simply sitting beside them can make a world of difference.
