Why is the Cornish Rex so attached to humans? ❤️

When people first see a Cornish Rex, attention usually draws to their appearance: huge ears, unusual head, long elegant body, and short wavy fur.
But once you live with a Cornish Rex, you quickly realize: the most unusual thing about this breed is not its appearance at all.
It's their attitude towards humans.
The Cornish Rex often doesn't just want to be somewhere nearby. It wants to be with you.
You sit down — it settles next to you or on your lap.
You work — it's interested in what's happening on your desk.
You move to another room — and it appears there in a minute.
You come home — and it greets you.
Sometimes it seems that the Cornish Rex doesn't understand at all why a person has decided to do something without its participation. 😊
And it's not just curiosity.
The Cornish Rex is a companion cat
Over the years of working with the breed, I've repeatedly seen how important emotional contact with humans is for these cats.
They love touch, communication, and play. Many are happy to sit on your hands, climb onto your shoulders, sleep next to their owner, and literally accompany the person around the house.
That's why I don't like to describe the Cornish Rex simply as a "cuddly breed."
Cuddly cats come in all sorts of breeds.
The Cornish Rex has another quality — a strong orientation towards humans. It wants to be part of your life.
This is what the future owner needs to understand even before the kitten arrives at home.
A beautiful home is not enough
You can buy wonderful beds, toys, sets, provide quality nutrition and perfect care.
All this is necessary.
But Cornish Rex requires another resource that cannot be bought:
your time.
You need to talk to it, play with it, communicate with it. It is important for it to feel not like an unattractive animal living in the house, but a member of the family
