Fish! These beautiful creatures deserve their moment in the spotlight just as much as our other fluffy friends.
This shot was taken while I was on holiday in San Francisco and it was quite calming watching this little guy glide about and explore while I waited for the perfect shot. The colours of different fish are so vibrant and stunning, there is plenty of opportunity for some creative photographs.

One image that received a lot of attention at our market last month was of this adorable duckling. As we get closer and closer to Spring, I am excited to see more of these adorable creatures waddling about.

We have this image printed and ready to sell for $20 as a 5x7" photograph, put together with a black mat and our own custom 3D printed signature. Images have been cut to a standard size to make them easy to frame.

Pets have an incredible knack for keeping us active and energized, no matter the elements outside. Even though it's winter there is so much joy spending outdoor time with our pets, and seeing their excitement as they sniff about and explore.

Here is a photo of a very adventurous pup, Raffa, who agrees with the thrill of spending time in nature with his owners. He loved enjoying some well-deserved exploration in the bushes and couldn't help getting distracted at every leaf that passed him by.

Here we have some European Chickens all the way from Brummen, Netherlands! After a quick Google search, I believe they belong to the Booted Bantam breed, given the abundance of feathers on their feet. This gives them such a stylish look, as they posed with so much character for their Pawtrait.

Chickens make fantastic pets; they are highly entertaining to watch and, with the number of eggs they lay, quite practical too! Maybe one day, we'll have our own and proudly share more up-close and personal chook photographs.

Luna is now 4 months old, and we have loved seeing her grow into a responsible pup over the past few months. Here's a little July update post for anyone wanting their monthly dose of adorableness.

We don't just focus on cute and fluffy pets, we love capturing the smaller creatures in the animal kingdom too!

One summer day when I was relaxing by the pool, I spotted a bunch of bees swarming around the pollen of a Ponytail Palm . It was very cool to see how busy they were with their little schedules. I couldn't help but run for my camera to capture the moment. Although, I had to do quite a bit of bee-saving as a few of them took an unplanned dip in the pool during the photo shoot (smart in some ways but not all). The Parrot Place is a bird park in the centre of Kerikeri that also offers a variety of pet supplies and birds to purchase. Photographed is one of their amazing Macaws as he nestles into the trees and stared down my camera lens.

The next set of images from our 'Pawprints and Playthings' series is of Bailey and her toys. She is a beautiful Labradoodle who enjoys jumping in the pool for a swim and bringing them back to continue the fun. Even at 13 years Bailey has so much energy and we adored spending the evening with her.
She got a bit tired at the end of the play session and instead of jumping in for her ball, she sat at the edge of the pool looking longingly for someone to retrieve it.

Coast to Coast Cat Rescue rescue is a charitable organisation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of cats. The volunteers there do such an amazing job looking after all the cats in their care, but with 150 of them to take care of, they need to find homes for them so they can continue the work they do.
If you are looking to get a cat, please get in touch with them, they have cats of all ages and personalities so you are sure to find the best suited pet for you.
Here are some of the beautiful cats they have ready for adoption - it struck me how cuddly and confident these cats are which truly shows how much of an amazing job this organisation does.
