I do not believe in or use prong collar, electronic devices that inflict shock or vibrate, or slip chain in training or in real life. In order for these to "work" it has to be used at least once inflicting a negative experience that the animal does not want to experience again. Is that what you really want for your companion animal...not me and not during my classes. I do not create a fearful atmosphere when working or being with my dogs. I want them to want to be with me and never afraid of being touched by me. We use a lead, collar and/or harness in class for safety we never actually use it except for walking on lead and even then it is once more an extension of our arm never a correction.

So important to remember and keep our little ones safe yet well socialised.

3/8 Socialisation recommendations

Socialisation can still happen when your puppy is not fully vaccinated. See this table for some safe options.

Talk to your vet about the local Parvovirus risk to socialise your puppy safely.
