🐾 Dolly’s first groom 🐾

Being this cute is obviously exhausting… just ask Dolly! 😴💕

This gorgeous little 3.5 month old Shih Tzu came in for her first puppy groom and was so relaxed she decided to have a little snooze halfway through. 🐶✂️

Puppy grooms aren't about achieving the perfect haircut. They're about building trust, creating positive experiences and helping puppies learn that grooming can be a calm and enjoyable experience.
We take things slowly, allowing puppies time to get used to the bath, dryer, brushes, clippers and all the new sights and sounds of grooming.

The perfect haircut can come later - for now, we're making friends, having cuddles and helping Dolly feel comfortable and confident with the grooming process. 🥰🐾

🎉 Bark Lane Grooming Studio Turns One! 🎉

What an incredible first year it's been! 💛

From first puppy grooms and nervous newcomers finding their confidence, to regulars who now walk through the door like they own the place, I've had the privilege of caring for so many wonderful dogs. There have been some muddy paws, fluffy transformations, endless cuddles, post-groom zoomies, and countless wagging tails along the way.

To all my amazing clients - thank you for trusting me with your beloved pups. Every appointment, recommendation, review, like, comment, and word-of-mouth referral has helped my little business grow, and I am so appreciative of your support. 💕

One of the best parts of this journey has been building relationships with your dogs and watching them grow in confidence and comfort with grooming. Whether you've been with me since day one or only recently joined the Bark Lane family, I'm so grateful to have you here.

Thank you for making my first year so special. Here's to another year of happy, healthy pups, plenty of cuddles, wagging tails, and keeping your dogs looking and feeling their best. 🐶🐾

🐾💛 Alfie 💛🐾

While most dogs stand for their groom... Alfie prefers to sleep through his 😴✂️

This sweet Cavoodle is so relaxed on the grooming table that he often dozes off while I'm working. It's one of the many benefits of introducing puppies to grooming from a young age and keeping up with regular appointments.

By making grooming a normal part of life early on, puppies learn that baths, brushing, clipping and handling are nothing to worry about. Regular visits help build confidence, create positive experiences, and keep grooming calm and stress-free for everyone involved.

I've been grooming Alfie since he was just a baby, and watching him grow into such a relaxed, trusting little gentleman has been incredibly rewarding 💛

Meet Marcel 💛

This lovely Golden Retriever came in feeling a little… extra fluffy 😅
After a thorough deshed, he went home looking smooth, shiny, and so much lighter.

And yes - that giant pile of fluff came off ONE dog! 👀🐾

Golden Retrievers have a double coat, which means they have a soft undercoat that sheds (a lot!) along with their top coat. Regular de-shedding helps remove loose undercoat, reduces hair around your home, prevents matting, and keeps the skin healthy and able to breathe - without damaging the coat.

Marcel’s deshed was helped along using a Refuresh brush - a fantastic tool for maintaining double coats. Available from The Groomers Shop

🐾 Toby’s first visit to Bark Lane 🐾

This sweet boy came in for a full groom and left with the cutest fluffy teddy bear face 🧸✂️ - and those adorable fluffy ears! 😍
He was an absolute dream to groom - calm, gentle and such a good boy.

🎄🐾 Elf-approved Christmas sign-off from Bark Lane! 🐾🎄

Gimley and his best mate Olive have put on their elf outfits to help me say that’s a wrap for Bark Lane for 2025! 🎅🐶

December was a HUGE month — 49 dogs and 1 very brave cat visited the studio, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
For a little grooming studio that only opened in June, the love and support from this community has been incredible. 💛

Thank you for trusting me with your gorgeous pets, for the recommendations, kind messages, and for keeping Bark Lane so busy. 🐾✨

I’m now signing off for a short Christmas break and can’t wait to reopen from 7th January 2026.
