📅 2026 Boarding Availability Update

Our 2026 boarding calendar is filling up quickly, with several periods already fully booked.

As many of our regular clients know, planning ahead is the best way to secure your dog's stay with us—especially during school holidays and peak travel periods.

🐾 Most boarding spots throughout the year have now been reserved. 🐾 October has limited availability remaining. 🐾 December is reserved exclusively for Rocky's Club Members.

If you're planning a holiday later this year, I recommend getting in touch sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.

Happy Sunday! ☀️

It started off very foggy here in Clarkville this morning, but the sun is out now and it is absolutely gorgeous!

Between the house chores, cleaning up, looking after our farm animals, and keeping our fur-guests happy and entertained, I also managed to put together some photos taken by the team of our Thursday and Friday crew out and about on their adventures—or simply relaxing and enjoying life.

Honestly, these dogs have the best life, don't they? 😆🐾

Whether they're exploring our neighboring areas, soaking up the sunshine, snoozing in a comfy spot, or hanging out with their friends, our goal is always the same: happy, safe dogs having fun.

We are here to serve you, pups! 😆🤣🫡

Enjoy the photos while I get back to cleaning the house and getting everything ready for another busy week ahead.

One frosty start, but what a stunning day it turned out to be! ❄️☀️

A huge thank you to the team for braving the freezing morning temperatures and getting out there with the dogs. Because let's be honest... the dogs are ready to go no matter what the weather is doing! 😆🐾

Split into three different groups and two rounds of walks, we covered plenty of ground today to make sure everyone got the exercise, enrichment and fun they deserve.

Mission accomplished. 🫡

And, of course, we couldn't finish the day without some beautiful photos and a video of our littlelies enjoying a stroll around Kaiapoi later in the morning, when the sun was shining and things had warmed up a little. ❤️

Another great day out and about in North Canterbury with our four-legged friends.

⚽️ Kane's Guide to Becoming a Soccer Player:

Step 1: Start running.

Step 2: Build up some speed.

Step 3: Suddenly throw yourself onto the ground.

Step 4: Roll around dramatically.

Step 5: Repeat.

Kane has been working on his technique all morning and is now accepting offers from professional clubs ahead of the World Cup. 😆🐾

Sorry, soccer players... this one must sting. 😂⚽️

This is how our Wednesday went. 🐾

Some big walks with the crazy crew 😆

A slower-paced walk focused on lead manners and self-control around distractions.

A solo adventure with our favourite German Shepherd who, despite the freezing temperatures, simply couldn't resist a dip in the river.

Another leaded walk with the littlelies.

Back at daycare, the sun lovers spent the day chasing warm spots around the property, moving from one sunny patch to the next as the sun travelled across the sky. ☀️

Then it was time for a well-earned nap in the lounge. Well... the dogs napped. I was mostly covered in sleeping dogs while trying to grab a bite to eat. 😂

We also had a very special visitor today. One of our walkers brought along their senior dog for a few hours. At 17 years old, he was a little shy around all the new dogs he met, but what an absolute sweetheart he was. ❤️

🎉 HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY, CHARLIE! 🎉

What a surprise it was to hear at drop-off this morning that today is Charlie's actual birthday!

Even though we weren't prepared, there was no way we could let such an important day pass without some sort of celebration.

After the morning walks (and Charlie had an absolute ball running around Mandeville with his fur-friends), I made a quick stop at the local butcher for some prime mince. Uncle Alex then worked his magic, mixing it with treats to give it a bit more volume — after all, Charlie had plenty of friends attending his surprise pawty.

It was adorable watching Charlie discover his mince cake. He had no idea what was going on, but he was more than happy to help himself to a birthday feast specially made just for him.

And, of course, everyone got a bite too! 😆

Happy Birthday, dearest Charlie. You are a wonderful little pup, and we absolutely love having you around. Your happy smile brightens my mornings every time you arrive at daycare.
