🐱 Luna

This stunning wee girl is just the cutest wee thing! 💕 I finally got to meet her today, and after a slightly worried start, she soon learnt that I bring ALL the treats! 😂

A little bum trim and nail trim wasn’t so bad after all, and Luna was such a good wee girl. 🥰

It’s always so lovely watching them go from a little unsure to realising I’m there to make them feel comfortable — with treats, of course! 😋🐾

✨ I’M BACK AT WORK! ✨

After the unexpected little hiccup🤦‍♀️😅, I’m so happy to be back doing what I love and taking bookings again! 🐾💕

I’m currently busy catching up with everyone, but I do have some limited spaces available, so if your furry friend is in need of an appointment, please get in touch and I’ll do my best to find you a spot.

I’ve already been seeing lots of knotty, uncomfortable cats lately — which is so common at this time of year as we head towards the warmer months. 🐱✂️

I’d love to help a few more cats feel comfortable, knot-free and ready for summer! ☀️💗

Well… this wasn’t quite how I planned my week! 🦴🩼

Over the weekend, while coming down the track from the Barnett Cave walk, I slipped 🤦‍♀️ and managed to break my fibula. I’ve now found myself in a cast and completely non-weight-bearing! 😩

So, the next little while is going to look a bit different here at Vet Nurse Direct. I’m taking some time to recover and will need to reschedule some upcoming appointments while I figure out what I can and can’t safely do.

I’m hoping to be back to work as soon as I’m able, and I’ll keep everyone updated as I know more. ❤️

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding and all the lovely messages I’ve received already. I’m very grateful to have such wonderful clients and their gorgeous pets supporting me through this unexpected adventure! 🐾❤️

Nothing beats a Churu reward after a groom! 😋🐾

It’s definitely the highlight of the appointment and the quickest way to win over even the most reluctant feline clients. Safe to say, it’s always worth waiting for! ❤️

Apollo 🤍

The prettiest man in the land! 😍

Apollo is proof that starting grooming early really does pay off. He’s gone from a jumpy little kitten to a handsome boy who will happily stay still and tolerate everything—even his bikini trim! 😉✂️

I enjoy every visit with Apollo. He’s such a beautiful boy with the sweetest nature, and it’s been so rewarding watching his confidence grow over the years. 🐾❤️

Lilly 💜

Here she is with her Christmas present from last year, which she’s still treasuring! Her owners tell me it’s the only toy she plays with, even at 16 years young. 🥹

After her groom, Lilly likes to lie down with just enough distance between us. 😂 She’s not always the biggest fan of having her coat groomed, but she’s such a sweet girl.

I’m so pleased that for the last few years we’ve been able to groom her comfortably at home, rather than her needing sedation, which she required for quite a few years before. Being able to keep her relaxed in her own environment has made such a difference, and it’s always lovely to see her looking and feeling her best. ❤️🐾

Cocoa 🤎

Another great winter undercoat removal for Cocoa today!

Last year, he had to have a full lion trim because his coat was severely matted. This year is a huge win! Thanks to keeping up with his maintenance grooms, we’ve been able to maintain his beautiful full coat heading into winter. Yay! 🎉

Regular grooming really does make all the difference, and Cocoa is looking fantastic

🦁✨ Meet beautiful Lenny ✨🦁

Last week, Lenny had her very first groom — and I was lucky enough to be the one to do it! 💕

She was an absolute superstar from start to finish and really couldn’t have been a more perfect wee girl.

Unfortunately, her coat had become quite matted and was getting difficult to manage, so together with her lovely mum we decided on a modified lion trim. This allowed us to remove the matting while still keeping as much of her gorgeous mane as possible.

Lenny was also treated to a bath and blow dry, which she took completely in her stride. She really didn’t seem to mind the pampering at all! 🛁✨

Going forward, we’ll be able to maintain her coat regularly and prevent those larger mats from forming again. In the meantime, I have to say she’s absolutely rocking her lion trim, and her stunning colouring really shines through. She’s one beautiful girl! 😍🐱

🐾 Charlie – one of my very best furry friends! 🐾

Charlie and his sister Lola are regulars of mine, having their nail trims every 8 weeks to keep their claws healthy, comfortable, and at a nice length. 💕

Charlie is always happy to see me and takes everything in his stride, making him an excellent role model for his little sister.

Lola wasn’t too keen on having her photo taken this time (and if we’re being honest, she’s still not completely convinced about the whole nail trim situation either! 🤭), but she’s getting braver with every visit. With a big brother like Charlie showing her that there’s nothing to worry about, I’m sure it won’t be long before she’s as relaxed as he is.

These two are always a pleasure to visit, and I love watching Lola’s confidence grow with each appointment. 🐱❤️
